This is a short post to brief offline link building. This is a great tool all big enterprises focus on. Though their main concern is not getting backlinks, but it still helps them to get lots of backlinks from different sources. Here is how.

1. By Organizing Local Events:

By organizing local events you can get lots of backlinks from various local and global newspapers. Not only that, if you can inform niche bloggers about the event you can get backlinks from them too.
By inviting one or two industry leaders, you can double or triple your backlinks number.

2. By sponsoring an Event:

If you don't have enough money to organize an event, don't worry. You can be a sponsor. It can still drive lots of backlinks. Your money will be worthy to get online and offline return if you know which event to sponsor and which one not to.

3. Take part in different events:

If you can't organize or sponsor an event, you can still take advantage from any event, especially when it is local. Just participate in that. Make sure you are taking enough business cards with you. Try to create a connection with others and collect their contact information for future follow-up. Take a picture too. Then create a post about the event, tag people you met in that event, write something positive and valuable. Mostly they will write about you, or share your post on their social network. If you can catch the eye of the event organizer, then you can get the same feedback from them.

Offline link building is as important as online link building. And while its strategy is completely different it really tweaks up thing for the best. So don't hesitate to try it when you've got the chance.

Great article nahid, but some of those above like inviting industry leaders and sponsoring events are not easy and will require lots of connection and money..

Third one is a good option!

Yes, it requires lots of money to host an event, but it's really an effective part if you can afford. Small event can also give you advantage if you have connection with some top bloggers and journalists :)

When people write on any event, in most cases they also mention it's sponsors. Few may not include it on their writing, but most of them will do unless the event had lots of sponsors. If the event has lots of sponsors, then the big sponsors will get most of their coverage on news portals and on other niche blogs.

I like the 3rd idea, it is easier than other 2. For first 2 ideas more capital, audience is required .

I think pamphlet and brochure can also be helpful offline techniques that can help you with your campaign.

Organizing an event can be fairly inexpensive, even FREE. That's what "sponsors"
are for. The trick is to figure out a way to get companies to invest in sponsoring
the event, which can be fairly easy since all businesses love ad space.

All you need to do is put together an idea (and a plan) for an event and then go
about contacting a bunch of local businesses asking if they'd be willing to purchase
a sponsorship slot for your event.

Explain to them that it is just an idea, for now, and that payment will not be required
UNTIL the event is a guaranteed thing. (Once they agree to be a sponsor, make sure
you get some sort of contract that will hold them to their word.)

A buddy of mine does this all the time and he actually makes money by the time all
is said and done... He usually donates any proceeds to a local charity which in turn
gives him a free press release in his local newspaper... It's a win-win-win-win situation
for all involved... (attendees, his sponsors, the charity and his own business)

Another way to earn a little extra is to contact your local print shops and explain what
you're doing. See if you can't strike up some sort of deal to earn a percentage of what
ever business you can send their way. Then, when you get some sponsors, explain that
XYZ Print Shop is offering a XX% discount if they use them for their promo material for
the event. Again, another win-win-win situation... You make a little extra on commissions
while your sponsors save a little and the print shop strums up some extra business as well.
