Someone think that paying for antivirus software is a waste of money when you can protect your PC with free antivirus software but some think that it's worth to pay for paid antivirus software. what about you? Do you really need to pay for Anti-Virus software? Any advantages when using paid versions?

Honestly, I don't think it's worth the money. A lot of people I know have paid for Norton and McAfee and both are crappy and generally give you more viruses than they protect you from. I've used Avira (free) and Malwarebytes on Windows computers. With my Macbook, I've never needed or used a virus program.

I started out with free anti-virus software but I was risking too much - but then, i have a lot to lose if my PC got infected.

So I opted after 2 or so years and some close calls to go with trend micro (I know many don't like them - but I have been secure for more years than I can remember now).
This company has a comprehensive protection span that has kept my computer and my family's devices clean.

If you have important files on your PC, I would never go free - pay for a robust security suite.

PS - keep Malwarebytes close at hand though - always good advice!

I tried using free anti-virus and it never worked for me. Or I did not try the right ones. Bought Kapersky and it's worked well for me.

I've used all the top brands, free and paid, even the ones mentioned here. The best one that I have ever used (and still do) is Avast. They have both free and paid versions, both of which are top rated and popular.

years back I used the Avast free version, but still had trouble. Maybe it's gotten better.

Yeah I too had used it years ago, probably 7-8 years or so, and I didn't like it back then. Now it's completely different and works great. I've never had a single issue with it and it's the only one I have used that hasn't had one problem or another.

If you care and protecting your files in laptop,pc or Desktop you must find a antivirus in google that zero cost and free.I think there are so many of them just make some effort to find them.Use Norton 360 or Kaspersky they are the best

No. Its just a waist of money. I've been using windows defender for years and I never had a problem with my laptop. Some of you guys dont even know what is "windows defender" is. Its basically the stock anti virus on windows computers. Its preinstalled on every computer and you just have to activate it in the settings.

Off-course if it is free, it won't be secure. There are drawbacks of it. The free antivirus won't protect you 100%. There are chances of data hack and infection of malware. Free version is not capable of detecting serious malware attacks.

If you will go with the paid that is licensed version, it has various anti-spam and anti-malware protection services. There are other features in the aid copy which will help you to protect your system from the attacks. You will be notify if you area accessing the infected sites. So I would recommend you to go with the paid that is licensed version.

If you think free anti-virus is not enough for your system then buy a paid version it really depends on what kind of files you really need protection. For me, a free version is just alright because I don't want a heavy anti-virus program running on my system background while gaming that will hinder heavily on my system performance. Windows defender is just fine, it can detect almost any virus known as USB or online, without even noticing it's running on your system background.

Yes it is more worth it when you pay for anti virus. I used Avast and never had a problem. However, it is not about your going to pay or not as long as it protects your computer or laptop to viruses and it is effective to use as a anti virus system.

There are lots of free Anti-virus in the internet but we cannot say if it is useful or just a display. Have you tried Sophos Anti-virus? As I have experienced, this Anti-virus is awesome. It has many features that I think others don't have. In our company, there was infected pc and for so many anti-virus that we are using (I'm referring for the free anti-virus) none of those solve our problem. Almost all. Then as I am searching, I found this Sophos. Believe me, it is the only one that terminate the virus and the performance of that pc get fast. Take note! Sophos can use free, how much more if you buy it's full version. As for me, if I am going to pay for Anti-virus software, I'd rather choose only Sophos.

Hi! I saw your website. It's clean, beautiful, nice color combination and the picture of rocket is beautiful. Regarding on details, it is readable, easy to get what you like to say and most of all, all the information regarding your products is there. I only notice the menu at the top. When it is clicked, for example the "Contacts", you can get there but it will disappear. It's okay if it is only there for it will not return again on top. But that is only my suggestion. Overall, for me it is beautiful and easy to get attention. I just have questions, is it free? How can you earn if it is free for all?

I haven't paid for anti-virus protection in something like 10 years. I have used both Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials for free and have had no problems at all.

I don't think its worth it. And just a conspiracy theory for everyone, I think that those who offer anti-virus are the ones that actually made the virus in the first place. I know I am being paranoid but its a thing nowadays.

Free anti-virus software can be downloaded free. However, not all features will be available sometimes hence the need to buy for an anti-virus software in which you can take advantage of all of its feature. On the other hand, if you're computing table is not that high risk, meaning you're not using your computer for large input databases, you may opt to try free anti-virus only. But if you want to be extra careful with all of your stuffs in the computer and the PC itself, a much better guarantee of safety is covered if you buy an authentic anti-virus software with all of its feature enhanced and available.

I honestly get mine free through my full-time job. I still pickup malwarebytes because I mod games and sometimes those are malpacks unfortunately.
