I have content for guest posting but what will it happen if I post the same content on more different blogs (guest posting)?

Should I have new content for each guest posting? I am seaching for ways to make this works and best for my site when doing guest posting

thanks in advance

Posting same articles on different blogs mean duplicating contents. Even same content is spin, it won't count a unique content. So never post same article on multiple websites.

If you check any news sites. For example which ever breaking news. You will find sames news but the content will different and presentation will be unique.

You should always have new content for new blog. No duplication. Most of the blogs check the articles with anti-plagiarism tools. If they find out that your content is duplicated, you can be sure that it won't be posted on that website.

Guest posting requires high quality content and it should be done on high PR sites. For guest posting a fresh content is required and duplicacy is strictly prohobited on it. It is the best way to increase the traffic towards a website by linking your website link in high PR sites that contains high authority.

niel Petal did a piece on this, he used to and still does post duplicate content from his blog onto authority blogs. He said he lost over 200K traffic per month when google updated. He recovered by asking the sites to add a rel=canonical to the original article but he never fully recovered just got rid of the penelty.

It's because duplicated content is counted as plagiarism.

No I don't think you should have different article when doing that what you are refering to is not duplicate content but syndicated content and it will be solved by asking your guest blogs to use the canonical tag google it

If you noticed many gossip blogs ranking on fisrt page talking about maybe Kim K have almost the same content but all rank first page. Duplicate content would be having the same article published 5 times on 1 blog now that what google thinks is duplicate.

Yes, You need fresh and unique content for every new guest post. I am also a guest blogger and didn't accept any duplicate content. Duplicate content penalize your site as well as blog on which it posted.

Posting unique content is usually one of the requirements for guest posting on a site to begin with. If you submit already published material as a guest blog post, there is a good chance that you are going to make the owner of that blog mad at you. Is that what you want?

And unless you are using the rel=canonical attribute then any other page that has the same content on it is going to be competing in the search engines for rankings. I don't think that is particularly smart either.

It is duplicate content whether it is published on your own site or on another site. They are two different kinds of duplicate content. One is duplicate content within your own website. The other is duplicate content across domains. Google hates duplicate content on your own site. Google doesn't necessarily hate duplicate content across domains if you do it in small amounts, but you still have the pages competing against each other in the search results which is not good unless the republished articles link back to the original.

Short answer = Publish unique high quality content for each guest blog post.

As in all forum type questions you will get answers correct from each poster's point of view and experience. What you need to do is check first with your "niche" which is to say, your area of expertise and writing style. If you don't know what a writing style is, then forget about using any duplicated material - follow the advice above.

Many authority sites use "duplicated" content without losing seo benefits, in fact, Google features them in their news aggregator. Google duplicates content as a business model. Like in most aspects of content writing and "fair use" practice, it matters "HOW" you use referent content.

I suggest that the best way to use your own content (article) over and over again on guest blogs is to use references just like you see in the news and niche authority sites. Take a look at them, especially those in your niche to see how they implement "duplicate content" from other blogs and information sources - use the very same technique in the same quality (quantity). If an article refers to another one, see how many times it refers to the original and how it affords a reader to find said information.

If you are the original author, you shouldn't have a problem with re-working your article many different ways while preserving the key instructional and relative structure to your view and posit.

That being said, guest blogger hosts are not too well versed in this usage themselves, so you will find resistance to your writing style. But I wouldn't worry about that because the better bloggers will like your articles and you will fare much better on their blogs which will be of higher quality, authority and benefit to you anyway.

Guest blogger hosts should also educate themselves in the proper usage of content, reference and curated content and seek out contributors that display knowledge and expertise in their portfolio of prior article submissions.

Any authority blog that is worth submitting a guest post to, will only accept original content. They will not accept duplicate content, simple as that.

The safest thing to do is to create new content for a guest blog posting site. It needn't be done as frequently as previously imagined, since this method will have more results.

As I know google does not punish for duplicate content until someone report your content ;)

Google will index both content and give priority to high domain authority site or most popular site.

Agreed ^. Google will more likely give credit to the original article especially if it was indexed first. Yes, I would highly recommend creating new articles for each guest post.

Duplicate content is detected using algorithms that compare how much content is identical from page to page. It is not something that Google relies on people to report to it. Duplicate content detection and demotion is one of the things originally incorporated into the Google Panda update.

Agreed ^. Google will more likely give credit to the original article especially if it was indexed first.
When you say "credit" I assume you mean "ranking". Google does not rank the page it indexed first. If two pages are identical, the page that ranks the highest will be the page that has the most powerful inbound links pointing to it regardless of which page was indexed first.

In fact it is entirely possible to hijack a webpage by copying it in its entirety and republishing it on a different website. Then pushing more PageRank to that "copied" page. It will outrank the original page that was the original publisher and original source of that content.

It does not matter who was first. The reason Google tells you to link back to the original source is so that if the links pass PageRank it will therefore help that original source to outrank the other duplicate pages.

Think about what you would want if it were your blog. You've announced to the world you have a guest blogger. Your readers are ready for fresh insights and ideas.

Huh? I've read this before. This blog is no different than any other blog.

As the blog owner. I'd be upset and never invite you back again.

Even if you spin an article to make it somewhat unique, assuming it passes plagiarism tests on Copyscape, once it's discovered on your own blog, issues will arise. I always recommend when guest blogging to make your content 100% unique.

Guest posting should always be 100% unique content, that's the whole idea. Like Rick mentioned, your not going to get asked back again. And bloggers talk.
