Forums and the blogs are the best places from where you can earn knowledge about anything and everything. Forum and blogs contain personal reviews and feedback that helps to learn about everything related to affiliate marketing. You can get the positives and negatives which will not be written in ebooks. So it is always better to follow up with any good blog or affiliate forums to know more about the type of marketing and get success.

I agree, you don't need any specific book on affiliate marketing. Forums are the best place to learn everything about affiliate marketing. However, if you want a free place to learn about internet marketing and affiliate marketing, I would recommend Wealthy affiliate university or affilorama. These are the two best sources I have come across.
You will find it just by searching on Google.

I think the best way a person learns something depends on his or her learning style. For example, while I have purchased some products, where written text is part of the course, I seem to fair better with video-oriented courses. I work faster doing this type of stuff when I can see what I'm doing and can follow along with someone. The most comprehensive course I know of is Affiloblueprint by Mark Ling. While there are written materials(if you're into that), he takes you through the course by showing you what to do step-by-step in video (in a niche outside of internet marketing). This course cost a bit more.

The second best course I know of is Google Sniper by George Brown. This course cost less (around $47 range) but still has a lot of video content and what not. I just think it works better for those who have some experience under their belt. With the Affiloblueprint one, you aren't expected to know anything when you get started. A lot of internet marketing courses nowadays are video/e-book combination to fit a wider audience.

The most effective way of learning about teh affiliate marketing is to search and read from official sources, like Google for example. Afterwards, it's better to start doing something and see what other questions and mistakes take a place. And again to search and read online to fix them and develope the affiliate program... Step-by-step experience and expertise will come into one place then.

In my experience learning what you need to know is a combination of a couple of things.

First off, you need to have a helpful forum like this one to ask any questions that you have or come across. You also can learn a lot from doing searches on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. and reading blog posts and articles about the topics that you are seeking information on.

As for eBooks, from my personal experience the majority have no special information that you can't find on Google or the other SE's. A lot of eBooks are either trying to get you to buy their product/service at some point in the eBook. Also, many eBooks have dated information that might not be accurate or relevant. Many are so called "Updated" or "Revised", but it's still either dated or info you can find reading around the web.

My suggestion is to spend as much time searching and reading as you can. When you have questions or can't find information that you need then post a thread here and someone will surely help answer your questions.

Take a look around the different forum categories here and just read all you can. You will be surprised at how much you can learn by just browsing through our many forum sections.

As an experienced marketer (10 years), I think you can learn from any good source that comes from the experience (e-courses, tutorials, blogs, books...). If you are new in affiliate marketing, learn the basics at first. Then start your work to learn the advanced tips in the action.

However, regarding books, I recommend a recent book titled "Affiliate Marketing Success-Step By Step Guide to Make 1000% ROI Using Dirt Cheap or Free Traffic Sources and Top Converting Affiliate Products". It covers almost anything about affiliate marketing from traffic sources to choosing top affiliate programs. This book caught my eye because I have learned that ROI is everything in affiliate marketing. The best deal is looking for resources that teach you how make ROI from your efforts.

What about Udemy courses on affiliate marketing? Any ones that are truly worth picking up? It's hard just going by the on site reviews, since almost all of them get stellar reviews, probably from a few vocal fans.
