Spend some time reading through the existing posts on Webmaster sun. You will find a lot of good advice that has already been posted.

First thing to do is to find a keyword(s) for your article, then do some on-page seo. If you don't know on-page seo then do some research about. Once you have your on-page seo sorted then you can send traffic to that article.

If it's good quality content that is worth sharing, when you send traffic you'll be able to get some organic backlinks, this will also help your article get indexed quickly. Keep sending traffic to that article and do your own off-page seo (backlinks) as well. You don't need hundreds or thousands of backlinks, just a few quality ones will help your article rank well.

Simply analyze your competition (pages that you want to outrank for a particular keyword) using tools such moz, majestic or semrush. Then you'll know how many backlinks you need and the type of links you're going to need (quality-wise).

Just because your article is 1000 words doesn't mean it will rank better, it doesn't matter how many words your article has, always keep that in mind.

Really like this sentence, Hmm, It's just because most of content writers or let's say so called "writers" think that when they write 1000 word article or more, it's already good. If the uniqueness is the case, well, it's good, but if with keyword targetting and being SEO friendly - it must be done well so that it can rank better.

You need to check with a proofreading / editing service if your article is of the highest quality and also serves the SEO angle. Only Professional Native English content writers can help with their command of the English language. SEO equally plays a part in the article ranking at the top of search engine results.

If there are quality articles then will surely go at top but you can't accept the high ranking with low quality content. As i said quality matters not quantity today.

Do ensure that the article you've wrote will be engaging to your readers. Use the right keywords, and create a backlink that wil promote your article for it to rank on top.

First you need to use your target keyword is Title, H1, H2 and sprinkle your keyword with LSI keywords all over your article while keeping your writing style natural and not stuff with keywords only. Maintain keyword density 1%-2%.

Your article must be informative and helpful for reader.

You should definitely do your keyword research using any keyword tool you are comfortable with. I know a company that works with SEO and tracks keywords for businesses to ensure the content is relevant they are in Markham called 360 business local if you need help they could be an outlet.

Need to do a lot: Look in for KW in Google KWs planner, Use the KW on the meta title of the page, H1, and other KWs related on Subtitles H2s. Upload a pic with copyrights, and make alt using the keyword and describing what is in the pic.
Now you need to build social signals to the page. Make buttons for share on FB, Twitter, G+... Share the article on your private social profiles.
Build links - this part is tricky but you can do guest posts, buy links, make comments on other articles as long as the links are related to your niche and are from natural sites - not sites that were built for SEO, it can be good.

SEO needs all quality work even you are going to build links or you are writing content. So first of all check and write your article carefully. It should be unique and perfect because if you will try to get copied so some other spun material then you can get the position.

Second one if you have done with writing then publish it one top notch site to get rank but publish with proper keyword title in the article. Also place important keywords in the article and bold them. A single article can be harder task to get place on search engines.

But you can do it with these ways and build relevant links to the article so that it can be rank easily.....

I hope you will like my help. If Yes then please click on thanks button to support me motivate me...

Your ability to rank high will be determined by:

* What keywords you target and how strong the competition is that you are up against
* How well you do your on-page SEO
* How authoritative the site is that you are publishing the article on - how much reputation it has
* How many internal links from that website your article will get and where those links come from and how juicy they are
* How much link juice you get pointing to your article from links on other websites
* How many trusted inbound links you get that use keyword relevant anchor text which will boost your relevancy for those keywords
* How useful the article is for the people who click on it in when it starts showing up in the search results for the keywords you target

If you get enough of those things for your competitive situation, then you can rank number one in Google and Yahoo and Bing.

Choose very low competitive keywords. Or make a Unique title for your article. You will see that searching your unique title shows your article first.
Note: You will have to do much more things.
