Hey guys

Lately I have come across a lot of bad advice on autoresponders for your email marketing business. I wanted to share with you the top 4 autoresponders and how to properly set up your email marketing campaign to generate the most profits.

Top 4 autoresponders

In my experience these are the top 4 autoresponders in terms of their pricing and deliverability (Success of email delivery).

1. Getresponse-Simply the best autoresponder out there plus they offer a 30 day FREE trial.

2. Aweber-Great pricing plan, and a great $1 30 day trial

3. Icontact- Also a great service, with great deliverability

4. Sendlane-A relatively new autoresponder service specifically designed for email
marketers.
Whichever one you choose will work great but in my experience Getresponse is the simplest and easiest to follow. So I am going to give you a step by step guide on how you can
a)Sign up to your autoresponder
b)Create your campaign
c) Set up your first 3 emails

How to set up your email campaign (Getresponse)

1. Go to getresponse.com

2. Sign up for the 30 day free trial (No credit card required)

3. Click on the arrow on the top right and click create campaign

4. Name your campaign

5. Click on create autoresponder

6. Create and write your first email, this can be something like Hey here is your free report . In the email make sure you have a link to your free report.

7. create and write your day 2 autoresponder email. I recommend sending them to your free report incase others didn't get it.

8. for your 3rd email you can promote an affiliate offer to a product.
I have used this technique all the time, and generated sales with it. By them receiving the free gift in the first 2 emails they trust you on your word and are moe likely to buy the offer you promote in your 3rd email.

Of course the same technique applies to the other 3 autoresponder services, Aweber, icontact, and sendlane.

Nice effort! However I've tried most of the big names when it comes to autoresponders...

If you want to do serious email marketing then forget them and go for a self hosted solution... I use sendy together with Amazon SES and as such you can send out 10,000 email a day for free... There are also other providers like mandrill...

In fact my daily quota recently got increased to 50,000 a day!!! I found the performance to be amazing - all you need to do is setup DKIM on your server and you are ready to rock and roll... Delivery rate is awesome, its robust and solid and it costs a fraction to what you would normally pay i.e. more than x100 times cheaper...

Further you own the data i.e. no risk of losing account and your data and you can import lists without having to get people to optin... If you know a little PHP you can do some very cool things from specific segmentation as well as tracking via post parameter data as an example...

Yeah I should of provided the link to sendy. Amazing given that it only costs around $60... As you can see it uses amazon ses (you can set up with other providers such as mandrill) to send out the emails.. So you get all of the benefits of robust infrastructure and at a fraction of the cost i.e. 10,000 emails a day for free! My current quota with amazon is now 50,000 a day which is awesome!!

You can build a massive list without any hassle... Just follow the set-up tutorial which includes DKIM setup between your webhost and amazon ses which ensures valid email headers with providing awesome delivery.... I've compared delivery with some of the big names and in my opinion its equal to even being better... Just make sure to host sendy with an excellent webhost provider... It may not have all of the slick features, but you can do some serious email marketing... Best of luck!

I use Getresponse and the biggest feature that drew me to it was the LIVE Chat Help.

Most Live chat help are either offline or takes a long time to respond but Getresponse provides excellent and quick communication.

That saved me a lot of time when I was first starting out as a newbie.
