As advancement in technology continues to rise beyond our imagination, new products and services are developed meant to offer improvements in the quality of life of the consumers. This constant change has given rise to alternating demands and changing lifestyles leading companies to adopt their systems of operations and marketing in order to stay competitive.
Can you imagine how life is without your mobile phones with internet capability? Where do you get your information? How do you communicate? How was shopping?
In the past, prime considerations for product are quality and safety. Nowadays, consumers demand speed and convenience.
Whenever there is a product or service, marketing exists. Digital technology is exploding and so will online marketing which has to evolve its strategies meant to adopt to modern technology and to the changing consumer preference or buying habits.
The future of Online marketing as I see will still embrace the basic concepts of marketing (AIDA=attracting Attention, Interest, Desire and Action) but will shift from one that is more immersed or deeply involved to the customer. With technology improving to give marketers and companies better information and analytics, I will also see more and more offers personalized to cater to customers' needs. Content will be geared towards value added benefits. I will not be surprised that capabilities for video marketing will reach its heights including use of closed to virtual reality technology. Graphics will be more visually enhanced. Internet speed will be faster, better. Operating systems and services will be greatly enhanced. Shopping online becomes interactive. Customers can see for themselves how they look like when wearing a piece of dress. How they look like with a new haircut or make-up? Who knows… or even the smell of perfume or food?
