Yes of course, you should allow blog comments - the more number of comments the more is your blogs popularity. But do not make blog comments get posted direct, have them submit in a moderation queue from where you can be choosy enough to post the relevant comments that are directly related to your articles. This will help you to filter spam and also increase the popularity of your blog.

Commenting shows that your blog is active and hence gets more SEO scores by Google and other search engines adding more visibility aspects but you must be careful about spam comments. You can use CAPTCHA to avoid spam comments and you may use one of the many great commenting plugins to get to your purpose.

Better test yourself commenting system. If user won't be able to post a comment, he won't get into interaction again. That's why I wouldn't recommend recaptcha, as it's a positive comment killer.
As it goes for spammers, I recommend using word filters and inform, that comment will get into moderation queue. This simple notice stops dozen spammers from wasting their time. Those who still want to give a shot, will need to work a bit harder to bring some valuable content into your blog ;)

Yes it's a best way to get more traffic, you let people coment your posts but I advice you to put Nofollow on links

Adding Nofollow links for blog comments then more people will not want to leave comments on your blog. what do you think about that? :D

I have the same opinion with Adriana14, more people commenting blog that don't need backlinks, they only want to share their thought to everyone.

If you allow it, then make sure you add captcha and to use Akismet or BadBehavior plugins.

I also do comment off as sometimes spammers get success in entering my blog that can disturb my searches.

Yes! Definitely you have to allow comments in your blog. It will help you to engage with your readers and allow them to share their thoughts and suggestions about the article.

Comments on your blog attract engagement from your readers and give you perspective on their general sentiment or interests. It is healthy practice.

Criticisms can be taken constructively and as ways for improvement. Negatives can be ignored or can be handled with grace and maturity. Sometimes, bashers attract curiosity and more visitors to site which in a way will help the blog site gain more popularly. As long as better content management is consistenly practised, integrity and trust is sustained. Let time and the public be the final judge.

I also suggest a form of moderation or filtering system is done to weed out spams or repeatedly offensive comments which are not related to the topic but an attack or personality assasination to the blogger.

The comments section is there for a reason - to communicate and interact with your viewers! Allowing comments will help you know what your viewers think about your site, what they want to see in your future posts, and it's a great way t be friends with some of them. You can always be strict with the comments section. For example in my case, I let everyone to comment but I don't let just any comment to be left in my posts. The comments have to go through me before the public sees them. If it's spam, then I can always delete it. Also, if you get more comments, other viewers will be more interested and attracted to your site.

Yes certainly, you should. what would be the best way of knowing your blog serves a purpose? That would be through comments obviously. Unless you just write something there forcing it to yourself that you created a blog, when your only writing idle thoughts.
Always keep in mind that comments comes along with blog, they don't rhyme, but they value time.
Value time by creating blogs with a purpose. That's just the fact.

You can allow the blog commenting but you will need to make sure the below advises -

1. Your blog should have the captcha or any type of validation while submitting the comment so spammers will not enter easily on your blog.
2. There should be proper moderation for all the comments so you can keep the proper comments. Many times it happens that there is irrelevant commenting so you should remove that.
3. Blog popularity will get increase when there is continuous good posts on your blog and you will get the true visitors so your blog will get good SEO score and rank.
4. You can add the validation for the commenting filed which will disallow the specific words while commenting.

One of the best ways to ask feedback from your viewers is allowed them to post comments on your blog posts. You can add validations just so that you can avoid spams or prank comments through the comments section. Do not allow automatic posting in the comments and let yourself verify first their comments before showing it in your blog posts.

Direct interaction and reactions from your target audience will benefit your blog a lot as well as the feedback. The only way for those feedback to get to you is through their comments. By their comments, you will be able to internalize their perspective and their understanding about your blog. And most especially, their reactions will definitely give you an idea to create more based on what they want and that makes your blog a popular one.

Yes, you should allow comments on your blog. Your blog visitors can express their opinion, reviews, questions, and suggestions through comments. It is made for interaction between you and the visitors or the visitors and fellow visitors. The comments are both of great help to you and your blog visitors. You both grow, earn and learn at the same time. If you are annoyed with some spam comments, you can use a filtering system to expunge these spam comments or links.

Yes! The reason why you should let the others comment to your blog is because of the feedback, ideas of the other person and suggestions. That's it! But avoid spam and trolls, you should check it first before allow it to add that comment.

You really should, because, in that way, you will be able to know what are the feedbacks from your users or clients. But the comment should not be visible directly, there should be a moderator for that page that will check if the comment is directly connected to the post of the blogger. With comment, you will be able to know the opinions of the reader.
