My company used cpanel for some servers but for my personal servers, I used Plesk and directadmin, they are cheap and easy to control than cpanel

I've used all of them, I like cPanel's X3 theme and their latest design is un-user friendly. Interworx hasn't changed since I used it and it's okay to use, DirectAdmin is a bit more user friendly than all of them and they never used to have a nice design. For example back in the day if you used DA you could be editing a file and accidentally click off the box and it would close and you'd loose all your edits / hard work, but that's changed lately for the better.

I personally prefer DirectAdmin in this day in age, or pure SSH. DirectAdmin is affordable and they've improved it.

Using pure SSH (Secure Shell) for server management is also a valid choice, especially for users who are comfortable with command-line interfaces and prefer a more hands-on approach. SSH provides direct access to server functionality and allows for more advanced configurations and customization.

From the beginning until now, I think we have been in the web hosting industry for more than 15 years and we have used almost all control panels. But in recent years, we use only cPanel for hosting, SolusVM for managing virtual servers, and AutoVM for cloud services.

I used to not care too much about Direct Admin or Plesk but they've come a long way in my opinion.

I personally like trying out the free and open source control panels. Some are pretty powerful but things always go back to cPanel / WHM!

SolusVM is nice. I have used ProxMox, OnApp, Solus, and a couple others and implemented their APIs into 3rd parties. Solus is probably the easiest and reliable one.

I have been using cPanel as my preferred control panel from the very start of my hosting journey. It has been a dependable and user-friendly choice, allowing me to efficiently manage my hosting environment and websites.

Yeah i agree, whm cpanel allow you/us to pay even more with their price increase again in januar 2024:

Solo - 17.49
Admin - 29.99
Pro - 42.99
Premier - 60.99

I really hope that there will be any other similar to whm cpanel so that everyone move away from those monsters!

cPanel all the way from the beginning. When you become familiar with something that functions well, there aren't many reasons to migrate to an alternative. However, a friend of mine is using Plesk and is also satisfied. Ultimately, it's a matter of preference and convenience.
