What type of billing system are you using - could you pay for development of your own ?

Hi all,

we are hosting company from Bulgaria and we are using Hostbill for billing system, but it has a lot of bugs. Before that we have tried with Blesta and WHMCS but it was the same. Could please share your opinion what is better or which one you are using and why ? And also - do you think is good idea to pay and develop your own system for billing - to use by yourself or shared with other owners ? Thanks in advance for advices and suggestions !

We moved from whmcs to wisecp.com long ago, in every billing systems are pros and cons but the most important is the support. As about wisecp support they are really fast althought we didn't needed them maybe 1-2 times in the last 3 years. There is always a better solution to develop your own billing system, as because you know where the issue is and fix it by yourself, since other billing systems mostly are encrypted files, so without their support you can't do anything.

We have been working at WHMCS for many years, we even wrote our own modules. Yes, of course, problems sometimes pop up, but in principle they are all solvable.

My hosting has their own billing system. It's minimilized and works fast. You may buy services trough it and etc. - it's intergrated with their site itself. Yes, an IT specialist can develop an exlusive billing for the intergration to your system.

I've used WHMCS and Blesta in the past and in 2013 I moved to Blesta and haven't regretted it once. We currently use Blesta and love it!

Hey! I feel your pain with billing systems. I've heard good things about WHMCS for its features. Developing your own could be cool, but it's a big project. Good luck!
