Reseller hosting with dedicated IP

Hello,

Suppose we have reseller cpanel hosting with dedicated IP address and reseller hosting have 10 cpanel accounts. How can we use that dedicated IP for all 10 cpanel accounts?

You can assign dedicated IP addresses to multiple cPanel accounts with WHM Panel. You do not need to update each account individually.

Here are the steps to assign a dedicated IP to various cPanel accounts using WHM Panel :

Access the WHM Panel by logging in.
Use the Search box on the upper left side of the screen to find Multi Account Functions.
Select the option Change Multiple Sites IP addresses.
Select the box beside the domain to change the IP address in the Change Multiple Sites' IP addresses window.
Click on change after selecting the Dedicated IP from the dropdown.
Dedicated IP addresses have been assigned to the cPanel accounts.

There may be a delay in these changes appearing on all cPanel accounts due to the time it takes for the changes to propagate over the internet.

To use the dedicated IP address for all 10 cPanel accounts on your reseller hosting plan, you can follow these steps:

Log in to your WHM (Web Host Manager) account as the root user.
Navigate to the "Basic cPanel & WHM Setup" section.
Under the "Basic Config" tab, you will see an option for "The IP address (only one address) used for outbound connections from this server". Select the dedicated IP address you want to use from the drop-down menu.
Click on the "Save Changes" button to apply the changes.

Once you have set the dedicated IP address in WHM, it will be used by all the cPanel accounts associated with your reseller hosting plan. You don't need to make any changes to the individual cPanel accounts as the server will automatically use the dedicated IP address for all outgoing connections.

It's important to note that if you want to use a different IP address for a specific cPanel account, you can change the account's IP address from within the cPanel account itself. However, this would be an exception and would not affect the default dedicated IP address set in WHM.

Will that dedicated IP can be used for outgoing mail servers for reseller accounts( all 10 accounts) instead of shared IP?

If your Reseller Provider assigned you Dedicated IP for your account then you don't need to set anything because that Dedicated IP will be considered your Shared IP for all hosted accounts.
