Is centos web panel secure?

Hi guys,

I was recommended to centos web panel on a VPS from my hosting provider, it is free, so I think it can have any issues with security or less updates if compared with paid control panel. Can you guys advice me?

Buy lifetime license or pay monthly?

What is the best choice between buying Directadmin lifetime license or pay monthly for Plesk onyx? I am going to buy extra Directadmin lifetime license but confusing between this and pay monthly for Plesk onyx, because paying monthly will save my money.

Personally I would avoid free panels for security, performance and features. Directadmin is a good cheap option, plesk is more expensive. If you are not a web hosting provider and you need a panel just for your own websites go for directadmin it is far cheaper. Some VPS provider will offer directadmin licenses for their VPS at a cheaper price than if you buy it from directadmin website.

It is better to find some hosting company that offers DirectAdmin and WHM/cPanel for lower prices than the prices you can buy directly from them.
Also, there might be fully managed support and the support will take care of the control panel itself.

I think it will be secure but not more secure like other paid hosting control panels because paid hosting control panels are supported better free panels.

DirectAdmin is actually cheaper than Plesk. DirectAdmin is a good choice for new users on a budget and it's more efficient than Plesk

In the past I used this hosting control panel but it is a bit more difficult to use if compared with other paid hosting control panels such as directadmin, cpanel or plesk. So I would not go with it and I heard that it is not secured because it is a free hosting control panel so that less support.
