I prefer using automated cloud backups with versioning. Services like Backblaze or AWS S3 offer reliable, offsite storage, and you can easily set up incremental backups to keep things efficient. It’s secure, scalable, and ensures you always have access to the latest versions of your files.

Can't understand why everyone is only discussing cPanel... How you take backups depends on what you need to backup, really.

For me, a combination of cloud backups and local storage works best, it's like having a safety net. I love using services like Backblaze for automatic cloud backups, but I also keep a physical external hard drive just in case.

I recommended using AWS S3 backup method, which is both reliable and affordable. It provides secure storage with flexible pricing options, making it a great choice for backups.

Honestly, if I had to pick one backup tip, it’d be automating a nightly database dump. Just set up a cron job that runs mysqldump (or wp db export via WP‑CLI) and writes the SQL to a timestamped file. That way you always have a fresh snapshot of your site’s data ready to restore in minutes. :)
