VMware vs KVM? Which one is better?

İ used KVM vps as always but today have an offer with VMware. İt's really good price but i have no experience with VMware. Which one is better? What are your experience with them? Can you give me your answers or a vote between VMware and KVM?

Hosting providers come in many different forms (KVM, VMware, OpenVZ) many of these have there own advantages and disadvantages.

OpenVZ - is a linux virtualization platform that allows a physical server to run multiple isolated containers or operating systems. This can only run on Linux. The issue with this type of platform is you can not make any kernel modifications. This type of virtualization is very efficient and fast.

KVM, VMware, and Xen - are very similar they almost work entirely the same and all provide true virtualization as the resources are not shared between any other host or virtual server. The reason you may want to use KVM is because it is supported via the CentOS team and this OS is much prefered by most web hosting providers unless they end up using Cloudlinux OS like we do.

Why you should stay on the KVM versus the VMware is that KVM is usually more scalable, lower cost of ownership, cross platform on linux or windows, Many apps run faster on KVM compared with other hypervisors, open source transparency and security, so mainly more flexible and can lead to lower cost of operation.

VMware is more for corporate infrastructure, rather than selling VPS to others. You'll have a hard time integrating it with any billing systems. Granted, modules exist for WHMCS and maybe other popular billing systems, but they're 3rd party and often broken.
