VMware is a very stable solution, but it's very expensive if you want to use their features. SolusVM is the most popular VPS panel because it's cheap and design for provider, to be used with WHMCS, HostBill or Blesta etc ..

The main difference is SolusVM can be used to sell OpenVZ, KVM or Xen VPS when VMware is not really open-source but is probably the easiest panel to use for a single user.

There are also several other solutions, like Virtualizor, Proxmox VE and cloud platform like OpenStack.

It's really a price issue before you even go into features. SolusVM is only 20.00/m whereas VMware is a lot more expensive. So, the question is, is price a factor to you?

As an ISP we do use both. having said that I don't want my comment about the price difference make SolusVM seem "cheap". They are actually quite good and can be fitting for most business.

Choosing between SolusVM and Vmware should be based on your requirement. Both are different as chalk and cheese. If you are looking for selling VPS, you can choose SolusVM. If you are looking to build a public or a private cloud, you can consider Vmware. Personally for VPS hosting, I prefer Proxmox. It is comparatively better than SolusVM.

Probably greatest benefit for a web host in this decision is SolusVM integrates with most all billing solutions for web hosts. Eg. Clientexec, WHMCS etc. all integrate easily with SolusVM. VMWare is designed for more enterprise I.T. solutions and is geared towards that.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

So, SolusVM is the best choice and better than VMWare if it comes to host websites?

I don't sell VPS plans because i have seen many dedicated server offers with good prices I wanted to have one and split it into multi VPS and sharing for my friends to host websites

VMware is an expensive product however SolusVM is lacking Support and New features. I have recently moved to Virtualizor after using SolusVM for more than 6 years and I think it is great

VMWare or SolusVM? SolusVM has been working great for me and I like using it. What about you? Which is better for VPS Hosting? why?

Hello Paul Wellner Bou,

There are a lot of different virtualization platforms out there, and it can be hard to decide which one is right for your VPS. Two of the most popular options are VMWare and SolusVM. Both have their pros and cons and ultimately depend on the user's specific needs. VMWare is a more popular choice for VPS and is generally considered more stable and reliable. However, it can be more expensive than SolusVM.

On the other hand, SolusVM is known to be easier to use and more user-friendly than VMWare. It is also typically cheaper. However, it may not be as stable or reliable as VMWare. VMWare is a popular virtualization platform for businesses of all sizes. It offers enterprise-grade features and scalability, making it a good choice for businesses that need to run multiple virtual machines or want to consolidate their physical servers. SolusVM is a newer virtualization platform that is becoming increasingly popular for VPS hosting. It offers many of the same features as VMWare but is more affordable and easier to use.

VMWare is a popular choice for VPS hosting as it offers a wide range of features and benefits. One of the main advantages of using VMWare is that it is very scalable, so you can easily add more resources as your business grows. It also offers high performance and reliability, making it a good option for businesses that need a robust hosting solution. SolusVM is another popular choice for VPS hosting, and like VMWare, it offers several advantages. SolusVM is also scalable and offers high performance, but one of the main benefits is that it is very easy to use. Therefore, it is a good option for businesses needing a simple and user-friendly hosting solution.

So, which is better – VMWare or SolusVM? The answer depends on your individual needs. If you require a robust and scalable solution with high performance, then VMWare could be the best option. However, if you need an easy-to-use solution that is still reliable and scalable, then SolusVM is the way to go.

Thus, I hope the information helps you to understand which virtualization is better for VPS from, VMWare or SolusVM.

I would like to describe the answer about VMWare & SolusVM >>> VMWare is a software company that provides a range of virtualization products for businesses, including a hypervisor (VMWare ESXi) that allows users to create virtual machines on which they can run different operating systems.

SolusVM is a control panel used to manage virtual private servers (VPS). It allows users to create and manage virtual servers, as well as to monitor and control their resources (such as CPU, memory, and bandwidth).

Both VMWare and SolusVM are popular virtualization solutions that can be used for web hosting, but they have some key differences.

VMWare is a widely used and well-established virtualization platform that offers a wide range of features and tools for creating and managing virtual machines (VMs). It is a type 1 Hypervisor and can be installed on bare metal servers, this means it runs directly on the server's hardware. VMWare provides high-performance virtualization, making it well-suited for resource-intensive applications such as web hosting. It also offers advanced features such as live migration and high availability, making it a good option for enterprise-level hosting. VMWare provides a wide range of advanced features such as snapshots, backups, and cloning, it also provides management and monitoring tools via its vSphere platform, which makes it easier to manage multiple VMs.

SolusVM is a type 2 Hypervisor. It is a popular control panel for virtual private servers (VPS) and it is widely used by hosting companies. It is a web-based management system that allows administrators to create, manage, and monitor VMs. It supports different virtualization technologies such as OpenVZ, KVM and Xen, which makes it more flexible than VMWare in terms of the type of virtualization. SolusVM allows reselling of VPS, it also has built-in failover and automatic failover, as well as resource monitoring and management.

Both VMWare and SolusVM have their own advantages and disadvantages. VMWare is a more powerful and feature-rich platform, but it can be more complex and costly, especially for small-scale hosting operations. SolusVM is a simpler and more affordable option, but it may not have all the features and capabilities of VMWare. The best choice for you will depend on your specific needs and budget.
