I use Digital Ocean (DO) :
$80USD / month 16 GB Memory / 60 GB Disk + 100 GB / NYC3 - Ubuntu 16.04.3 x64
My websites often 504 error , I therefore need 16GB more ram.
This will cost $160USD or $180USD per month depending if shared or dedicated
(double the price per month for 16GB more RAM).
I emailed DigitalOcean and asked how much for 16GB more RAM - they responded to upgrade to the next tier of RAM (32) which costs the above amount.
Question : Is RAM supposed to be this expensive?
Paying double+ for 16GB more RAM seems odd to me.
