I have setup my dedicated server with WHM/cpanel but now I am getting a problem with current IP, so I would like to change its IP to a new IP for my server and also for WHM/cPanel. Does it affect to my websites on my current server if i change IP address?

You can change the IP of Exim.
It'd be quicker, and better.
See this link. You'll obviously need more than 1 IP assigned to the server.

Depending on the type of issue you are receiving on your current subnet, reach out to your hosting provider and they should be able to issue you a new subnet as long as they own the IPs. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with your current addresses. Yes, you can have this changed from cPanel for your assigned addresses.

Changing the server IP is a tedious process that involves a lot more than just swapping the IP within cPanel/WHM and it can definitely result in service interruptions if not done right.

What problem are you facing with the current IP? Are you able to resolve the problems so you will not need to change the IP?

That's thing I am afraid it will happen.

The current IP is blacklisted by spamhaus zen and I could not remove it from there.

Are you using the server just for your website or do you host clients as well?

If it is just hosting your website, you can consider using third-party transactional mail providers like Mailgun or SendGrid so you do not need to use the server to send emails.

If you are hosting clients, you can setup a relay server elsewhere and send email through the relay server. You can also use a Spam filtering service like SpamExperts or MailChannels as your relay server.

There are many websites on it hence it is difficult if I have to move to a new server. It requires more work.
You'd better install a news server and then migrate accounts.
The current server is working as well, I only have problem with IP and email.

You could ask your host to contact Spamhaus and delist the IP. Normally that shouldn't take longer than a couple of days.

1. If the issue is affecting only for sending emails, it simple change the email server IP to a different one so that the websites will be loading in the old IP and the emails will be routed through the new email server IP.
Before assigning the new email server IP you need to make sure that the whole subnet is not listed.

2. If the websites may are also affected, means some ISPs may label the website as malicious as if it loading from badly reputed IP/source.

3. Find the malicious/spam sending account on your server and resolve it first. Then only spamhause will completely delist your IP.

4. If you are unable to resolve the issue at expected time, then as a last option you can go for a main IP change.

but please note that there will be down times expected if you change the main IP of the server.

You can change the main IP of the server from WHM/cPanel itself.
- It will affect the DNS resolution for the website and emails, if it affect the name servers too.
-It will affect the cPanel license.
-It will also cause impacts on Seach Engine ranks of the websites hosted.

5. Before any IP changes to an IP different subnet, it is better to consult your host to avoid server outages during the process.

>> Where t ochange email server IP?

1. Log into WHM and go to the 'Exim Configuration Manager'
2. Click Exim Configuration Editor
3. Check the box next to:
“Send outgoing mail from the ip that matches the domain name in /etc/mailips (*: IP can be added to the file to change the main outgoing interface)”
4.Save Changes
------------------------------------------
5. Then edit the file /etc/mailips through commadline interface.

- Add the desired IP next to the colon below.

*: #ReplacewithnewIP# --> [Consider '111.111.111.111 ' would be the new email server IP. The syntax would be like *: 111.111.111.111 ]

Then save the changes to the file.
----------------------------------------------
Once done, make the '/etc/mailips' file attributes to read only in order to avoid loosing the new changes in next cPanel auto update.

6. service exim restart
