I am considering to disable comment function on my blog that will make visitors can not comment on my blog posts because I see that there are many spams came from comments and it took me more time to moderate. Do comment have any benefits for blog posts and they are necessary for blog posts?

Spam is a tricky subject we cant always stop all types of spammers but we can battle it down to a certain extent. There are two different types of spammers; you've got your bots that is an automated system which can post pretty much anywhere that it let's them. But then you got human spammers, which technically is nearly impossible to prevent, but with active moderation you can discourage it.

There are a few tools which can help you deal with bots, such as Google's reCAPTCHA. They require the human to read the question and follow instructions e.g. Like how many cars are in this image, and you select the different images with the car in it.

With human spammers it's really hard but like I mentioned above some things you can do to discourage them. Like you must approve their posts before anyone can see them.

But to answer your question I do believe having your comments enabled is necessary because it gives your audience a voice. And it's always best to listen to your audience. I know it can be annoying going through hundreds of posts but it is worth it. Hard work pays off.

I am using Wordpress, can you share experience to deal with spammers on this platform? especially for spam comments on blog posts?

I haven't had comments on my posts for ages.
I actually don't find it all that important. But that's my opinion - on a web hosting topic blog.

Comments are a great way to interact with your audience. They may offer a different perspective and additional insight into your posts and articles. Some of your visitors who are just lurking may appreciate the extra value that a good comment can offer. There are many online tools to fight the annoying spam. Here is a useful article on the topic to reduce the moderation time.

This is what I wanted to say.
Quality comments will be better for blogs posts and that should be encouraged on blogs. Just a small issue for this when you are allowing comments you have to deal with spammers and spam comments on your blog posts.

Yes, comments have some benefits. They are going to help you to get feedback from other people to know exactly how people are interested in the topic you write. Also, some people can add important information relate to your topic. Overall, you may also learn a lot from those comments. I would suggest you to create another account for your personal business and leave this for your forum.

When you comment on blogs, it helps to create backlinks, which in turn generates traffic. Most of these links are no - follow links and thus, carry little value; however, the process is still helpful.
For newer blogs, commenting will help in the faster indexing of your blog.
This is the most important reason to consistently comment on blogs.

One of the reasons Neil Patel's posts rank on top is that he creates discussion through blog comments at the end of his every post. Longer the discussion goes, longer his post gets, which indicates google that the content is long and it increases the chances of posts being ranked on top.
With blog comments you can also create engagement on the post, you won't need it to get to social platforms for engagement.

It really depends on your website and your engagement. Smaller blogs benefit being able to engage with people. I think blogs with medium amounts of traffic it isn't as beneficial since it would be better to engage with your audience through social media. Large sites definitely benefit from comments but it normally ends up nowadays to be being flame and political wars

When the comments are on your blog, it’s easy to find them. Sure, your post may be discussed elsewhere, but the comments that appear with your post are more likely to be seen over time. This is especially true for evergreen content, Who wants to go back and shift through a social media site looking for comments months after a post is published ,it will definately help you in future for better google ranking ,as it will generate backlinks for it after some days.

I think comments are necessary for blog posts. It can help you get feedback from the readers however, it is better to be open in any criticisms. Comments can also benefit you to know how interesting your topic is. Also, it is your time to interact with your readers and in this way, you can also get some ideas from them.

In my personal opinion, yes comments are necessary for blog posts because it will be the determining factor of how good or bad your blog is. Yes sure there are a lot of spam comments and such, but always remember that you should also look into your readers' perspective. Some may comment that your blog is lacking in content, and by knowing so from your readers, you'd be able to adapt quickly in order to please your readers. There is also a bonus on this comment feature. It is the interaction between your readers. By having comments they'd be able to interact more and might as well build a community.

In my point of view, comments are necessary for blog post. It is necessary because blog post should be active. Blog post can only be seen active if it contains comments to know that the post is interactive. It is usual that sometimes bloggers experience scam comments.

I would recommend you to install spam comment plugin and keep the comment functionality active. As there are several valuable visitors who would love to share their point of view around any topic which can add more value to readers or in some cases you find your next blog idea from comments. Infact Google also pay special attention on contents which has user generated content like: comments and match them against quires. All the best
