I will be launching up to 10 different websites next month. These sites are just holding the domain and purpose is not to generate traffic, they will be used to promote for my main sites. Is there cheap hosting you would recommend for that many websites? Should I use a shared hosting or VPS in this case? Any advice?

Thank you
D

Just get a vps for 1-2€/month and install vesta cpanel or other free panel and you can host as much as you want, i doubt you will get cheaper with shared hosting.

Obviously VPS has many advantages than shared hosting and I may go with this option but not for free hosting panel. I like using Plesk or DA, cPanel license is still expensive for me though.

Well as you stated that you are using just for promoting i don't see any issue using free panels, we do use or many of our customers uses vesta/centos webanel/virtualmin etc long ago for production sites and are ok with it. If you are worried about security, as you have vps own control you can secure your server aswell.

I understand and agree with you that free hosting panels are still good choices but for me, I would go with paid hosting panels because my websites had revenue and pay for paid services will help me not face issues like I got with free panels (upgrades, supports, fix errors...etc)

I remember when I installed Centos web panel in the past, I must spend time to upgrade mysql/php version, if that was paid control panel, I will not need to care about that, it will not waste my time though :)

Understood, what do you mean by (upgrades, supports, fix errors...etc) centos webpanel nor vesta have multiple version and its really easy to upgrade it (as per centos webpanel they use mariadb 10* version and multiple with several clicks php upgrade to 7*versions. Do you think paid panels will upgrade versions or fix errors in your server for free?

Just depends on how familiar the op is with setting up an infrastructure. A small cpanel shared hosting site, where you can either park the domains, and simply redirect them all to the main account should be fine. But as @AlbaHost says, you should be able to find something crazy cheap if the only purpose is to park the domains.

Yes as crazy as free, for just static landing pages or redirect there is few hosting providing free cPanel shared hosting.

Go with shared hosting so you do not to worry about its management. Choose some cheap hosting that allows multiple domains.

Any decent host will be able to support your needs without any issues at all and most even offer a money back guarantee, if you're unhappy cancel and move on to the next one.

Let us know who you end up going with.

It very much depends on how do you one to manage those website and what do you want to achieve? It makes sense to me to host them either on a Reseller Account or on one low end VPS. This will save you a lot of management effort and some money compared to the scenario when you get separate Shared Hosting accounts for each of them.

I am managing several websites and they are having good traffic, adding new websites may make me a bit busy but I think I can handle that. The purpose of those websites are very obvious, I need to increase traffic for main websites. To be honest, my plan is changing since I heard that I should buy old domains than using new domains. :)

I used reseller hosting accounts but some providers limited functions on them and a big problem is I could not use root account.

Exactly, VPS is still my first choice.

Try a reseller account
unless you deal with huge traffic, should handle your multiple "landing pages"
