Could .gram Work Outside Telegram’s Own Hosting?

Telegram’s .gram idea is interesting, but the key question for webmasters is control.

If registrants can use custom nameservers and external hosting, .gram could behave like a normal TLD with a built-in audience. If it only works with Telegram hosting, it is closer to a platform URL.

Would you register one for a real site if normal DNS control is available? And would you trust it for business use, or only for a Telegram-focused project?
