Hi all,

I got a question regarding using hostgator shared hosting $10+ (Free cpanel), setup the dns name servers for my sites, then point my dns name servers to my domain name servers. Then pointing again to my another server ( where my sites are located at ).

Currently i am using non-cpanel, using a chinese panel ( bt.cn ), apparently, it doesn't have the function to add name servers inside, no matter how i crawl the panel and search. And i am using another server ( which cost me $300 ) with cpanel, want to cut down cost and move to a half price server.

So to breakdown :

1) Main Server ( With cpanel ) (My main site is hosting on here)
2) Spare Server ( With Chinese panel, unable setup name servers ) ( Some of my new sites are in here already and i want to my move my main site into here as well )
3) My domain registrar is at hostgator/godaddy - name servers is setup there already for all domain names
4) Pointed all my domain name servers to my main server IP address.
5) My main server name servers point my site to the Spare Server IP.

in other words i am using another server to point to my spare server which is very troublesome and i want to point directly to this Spare server with the chinese panel. So using this shared hosting of hostgator to point my new site to this spare server, will it cause any lag or increase alot of bandwidth ? because my site is alot of users.

Thakn you.

Hello,
to manage your dns easily and to make sure nameservers are stable, you can host your domain nameservers on Cloudflare.
It's free, it provide you a CDN , a clean interface to manage your DNS records, and it's one of the fastest authoritative DNS services available.
