X2GO vs VNC

I used x2go but not tried VNC yet. How about VNC? do you guy used both? which one is better?
In my point of view, x2go is pretty slow and seem it needs more RAM to run it smoothly on a vps. :)

X2Go is better than VNC because it launch the display manager only when you use it. On a VPS, a desktop like Gnome can use a lot of resources.
But you can try xrdp to access to your server directly with the remote desktop client of your Windows computer.

You can also try another desktop environnement, you have the choice between Budgie, KDE, Xfce, Gnome ... some of them require less resources.

X2Go seems to be an offshoot from Nomachine NX, which is a high-performance-to-bandwidth remote desktop solution used by large companies such as Ericsson.
