What does PENDING TRANSFER mean?

Hey guys, I have domain EPP code & requested to transfer my domain from Godaddy to Namecheap then received the email for that.
I try to check whois domain and it alerting this
PENDING TRANSFER
What does that mean?

Domain transfers usually take one week, in this period the whois will show you a "pending transfer" status until the transfer is done. You should have received an email from your registrar telling you the expected date for the domain transfer to be completed.

It means the transfer is on hold. if the message is there for a few hours you should contact Godaddy support, however we have seen some case scenarios that after 2 ~3 hours the message change to "transfer completed" and your domains is then managed by NameCheap. Good luck!

Pending transfer means it's waiting for Namecheap to approve the transfer request and then it will be transferred. It takes about 3 to 7 days to transfer fully.

During that state it just mean it's currently in process. So in your case, since your transferring your domain from Godaddy to Namecheap, their just waiting for Namecheap to accept the transfer and complete the process. It may take a couple of days or up to a week for this type of transfer to go through completely.
