Hi Ramariz,

Well I can not talk to all of them. Most of the once I worked with have not real-time performance monitoring through their standard offerings. This would require a certain SLA (Service Level Agreement) to be in place. Which means they might be cost envolved. Any monitoring I saw so far are always updating monitoring data once a day. Users in most of the times do not recognize this. Of you want to monitor your Website hosted do not rely on the procider, take a third party tool to actual monitor your provider. A doctor does not make self diagnostics, this would most of the time not help him

Hopes this helps
Cheers
Dieter

Ideally, the provider should have! I am not sure about other platforms, but so far I am working with AWS they are showing statistics on time and we can have our own metrics enabled if we want to.

If you have shared hosting service then provider will not provide the access to real time performance monitoring and statistics. If you will have the VPS or dedicated server then you can have the various tools which are configured for real time performance monitoring and statistics.

Hosting providers do provide the result of the statistics if you need. Those tools are not integrated with your server, you need to install the third party tools. So if you need such service then you will be asked to pay extra money for it.

What do you mean by saying "real-time performance monitoring and statistics". What do you want to be monitored. It could be computing resources usage (CPU, RAM, Storage, etc), it could be data transfer and networking? All of them a measurable and web hosts usually provide metrics data, based on the technologies they use.

Shared hosting would not provide real time statistic but a dedicated server or a VPS could be configured to get real time statistics. You will have to part with some money to get your shared hosting service provider to incorporate that into the service, albeit through a third party software.

If you are managing the server on your own. Then, you need to install third-party monitoring services like "New Relic".

Or, if you are on a managed hosting solution. Then, ask your particular hosting provider, they must have a pre-installed monitoring tool.
