How to make and upload a blog? How necessary is the web hosting here?

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for being ignorant... I am not a techy person
Some of my friends are making money online by just creating a blog and upload it on the web, some are writing ebooks. I'm too shy to ask for their method, Can somebody please help me and mentor me in doing my first blog?

For making site/blog live, you will need to upload it on the internet and which is done by hosting service.

Web hosting service provides you the storage space to upload the data on internet. Once you will upload the data then you must update the nameservers for your domain which are of your web hosting provider. It provides you security to your data as here is hosting panel with login credentials which will be accessed by you only as you will have details of this panel with you.

If you will host your blog on the server with great uptime (that it goes down very frequently) then your website will also load very fast. So hosting service is very important.

Blog can be created under any of the CMS like WordPress, Joomla etc. Those CMS are provided by hosting provider for free cost.

Im no expert with the actual technical stuff but I do know its quite easy. There are alot of websites who offer a free blogspot. Just search it through google or chrome. And the good thing about these websites is that they usually will give you a step by step guide on how to build and personalize your blog. Some even go the extra mile by providing you pre set web layout designs or templates where you can place your information, pictures or graphics, widgets and etc. And once you are done they will provide you a direct hyperlink which you can share to other social media apps for access. Try it.

There are many ways on how to start a blog. There are free websites on the internet which can be of great help. But it is not the blog itself that made them earn money. It is with the Advertisements. When you start a blog, fill it with contents and monetize it through advertisements. You can try Lazada Affiliate Program and Google AdSense.

If you want to start a blog, www.blogger.com is a nice way to start.

You can start by eyeing blog sites such as Blogger ( https://www.blogger.com/about/?r=1-null_user ) or Wordpress ( https://wordpress.com ). For me, I am using Wordpress because they I can do a lot with that blog site for themes and editing.

Then you can brainstorm what entries will you put in your blogs. You can create a theme for your blog. Let's say you can write about Women Empowerment discussing the achievement of every women you know. You can also tackle about Travel Adventures, wherein you can share your recent tour. Another entry you can write is about the latest food or restaurant you've been craving to. Do not forget to post good quality pictures on it, so your readers will also have fun reading it, just like reading a glossy paper magazine.

After creating your new blog, you can promote it to your social media pages such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, or emails and invite people to visit your blog site. You can also affiliate links from online shopping apps.

As what others have mentioned, you could take a look on different websites which offers free blogspots. But nevertheless, web hosting is pretty important if you need storage and the security for your page. If you are a beginner, Wordpress would be much easier for you. There are loads of themes that you can choose from so you won't have to fret over choosing a good theme for your blog!

Creating a regular incoming with a blog require lots of work and you have to know how to write good content that is interesting to your readers/audience.
Only good, genuine with high quality content interest to readers. This should be your n.1 rule!
