I am using cPanel and want to know your experiences with both R1Soft and JetBackup solutions. I read posts on the forum and some are recommending to R1Soft. What are the differences between R1Soft and JetBackup? when should I use one? which one are you using?

Looking forward to your answers!

We have JetBackup setup on some of our cPanel servers and it works great. It's pretty cheap. I will say that the JetApps guys have made significant functional and aesthetic enhancements to the cPanel plugin, since we first began using it. Overall if you are providing hosting to clients, it delivers a very professional and efficient experience for your clients.

Having always used the JetBackup, I won't be able to provide any insight on the R1Soft option.

no Doubt Jetback is a fab tool ... however there are some known issues with it like backup timing out issues which really make the things harder. R1soft is always recommended , easy to restore interface and it just works great.

If you have your own server, I would recommend you to go with R1soft backup because it gives easy interface to restore files/folder and database backup for customers. Also, there is fantastic Bare metal option through which you can quickly restore your crashed server. its perfect solution for disaster recovery.

We have been using R1soft for years, and have found it to be good. Have no experience with Jetbackup but it seems we should give it a try as an alternative.

R1Soft is defently an awsome tool, not to mention its not a performance killer like some other ways of backup. Never really gave Jetbackup a try, however it seems to be a decent backup tool.

I recommend R1soft if your control panel is cpanel/whm like i believe most hosting companies do. R1soft panel is user friendly and we can manage several servers backups at a time(select mounting points). Also, the download/restore options are pretty cool.

Yes. I'm okay with jetbackups. one of my friend is using it and is good but R1soft is the superior while comparing.

We are using R1Soft, it is very cool. We always rescued customers, who accidentally deleted their files or made some mistakes and broke their website. R1Softabckups are easy to restore, we can restore either files or db or both or complete account. It works as good point to help out customers, who need a help, when things does not work as expected. I

did not used Jetbackup, but I think it is a good tool too. R1soft is very old tool, so probabily it have more support over there, not sure.

Thanks for sharing your expierence, I checked R1Soft official website but I don't see they mentioned pricing.
Is it free to install on cPanel?

As a company or as an individual I have never used JetBackup - but have always used R1Soft - so of course I would recommend R1Soft.

Jetbackup is pretty good and it's the cheapest option.

In today's context, the JetBackup would be better than R1Soft due to the unavailability of new Kernel modules for newer kernel version, un-necessary backup creation which causes longer time for completion and doubling the size of the disk. Where, JetBackup can create on-demand backups and easy to restore even for terminated accounts.
