Its always recommend to field test your host to find if they suit your needs. I recommend to reach out to your potential provider for a promo and recurring discount. We tend to offer customers option to choose a one time or recurring billing when they first sign up once they reach out to us.

Unless there is a huge incentive for paying yearly OR a money back guarantee, I always opt for monthly payments. This way, if there are any red flags, you would only loose a months worth of $$, not a years worth of $$

If it's affordable and something that is within my spend limit then I usually go with the yearly plan, else there is always 6 months, as you get a discount for a one time pay.

Sign up for yearly plan only if you are absolutely sure you will receive a good service otherwise take 1-2 months to test it. Either way I would check the reviews first.

If you want to go for hosting services with annual subscription, then opting for shared hosting services is the best choice. Shared hosting service on the annual subscription is the most affordable service to go with.

In my opinion, one should pay the web hosting fees yearly if you're there to stay over the internet for a year or more. That depends on your sales, and the traffic you're expecting and actually getting on your pages. Also many web hosting sites provide great saving packages when signed for a year long contract. This helps you to save some quick bucks which you can utilize for other utilities. Also it creates a friendly coexistence and an element of trust between the hosting sites and the hosted. But remember, do some research before signing up for a year. Do remember there are web hosting companies that form and disappear over a night. So always use a trusted source, invest in reputable and legit sites, be in good terms with the hosting folks, submit quality page and enjoy your success. :)

It depends on your budget, the savings from prepayment and the reputation of the host itself. For some, paying more than a month is stretching their financial resources. You don't want to prepay for a host that was setup last night too.

I was using monthly subscription in the past, but it kind of got annoying. I had to convert it to annual, I hate getting those notifications to pay my monthly subscription. I'll say look into the plans, and if you are managing more than two websites then shared hosting is the way to go..

Paying yearly is a good option to ensure trust between the hosting websites and the service seeker/buyer. Also many hosting websites offers more flexible and useful functions. And there's always money to be saved by doing a yearly settlement. So yearly is a better option if you trust the hosting website.

I will always go for monthly plans on my first try with a hosting provider. It gives me a buffer to transfer to another provider if I need to. I would not like to commit to an annual plan as the hosting providers are pretty volatile. I will sign 6-month plans at best. For 1 year plans, the hosting provider needs to be very reputable and recommended by my friends with good feedback by forum users.

I would rather subscribe monthly.Reason been that the host Company might not always meet up with the great service they are providing now in a year's time.Although it may be expensive paying monthly,You have the freedom to change your provider whenever you like,But when payment is done yearly,One is stuck with whatever problems the provider encounters.

I agree with you but how if your provider offer a big discount for 3 or 6 months?
If you used web hosting for more months and had good experience with them then you should subscribe for a long term to get big discount. I am wondering about this case.

I think yearly pay is better than monthly pay. However, if you are not sure whether you want to continue using the hosting provider, it is better to choose monthly pay. You can easily cancel your subscription without losing money if you don't like the hosting. When you are with yearly pay, you will lose money if you have to switch to another host.

A monthly plan is the best option. You have the opportunity to test the hosting service for months before making any decision on whether to continue with their hosting services or not. Availability of other web hosting providers also make it easier for you to switch in case you are not satisfied with your current service provider. This is something hard to do with a yearly package.

Apart from that, you can easily switch to the VPN package after testing the shared web hosting service within a year.

I think you should try for the monthly though rather than jumping to a yearly payment. Since it's your first time on that service then it's better if you try it first. Testing everything out like their customer service which is really vital in starting your own website. If something goes wrong and they don't do anything about it then you will just be wasting your money.

I would highly recommend Never to pay yearly until you have detained if the service adds any value to your needs also read in there views in forum there are some great hosting provider out there also if you would like full control of your sites I highly recommend getting root access to the server a vps or cloud host can provide that

If you're doing business with a domain you already pay yearly. At least I do. One month a year they expect $12 to $14 dollars for domain renewal. Which may cost a little bit more depending on any extras involved such as ICANN, https services, etc. Now if you're talking web hosting? You usually pay monthly but your host usually has an option where you can drop a lump sum of money into your hosting account. That lump sum is basically like paying for a year of service because each time your invoice comes up every month the system will extract the correct sum from that lump sum you deposited earlier. You can deposit up to $200 or more I believe and that'll take care of your web hosting for the year. The automated system does all the work from there. Just make sure you get the automatic payment receipts in your inbox.

Am not sure there's a certain or proper way that states how exactly you should pay for hosting subscription. It's a matter of choice knowing how budget works for you. I go for yearly subscription payment so I won't have to worry about paying up every passing month. But like I said, it's a matter of choice. What kind of relationship have you built with your service provider? Do you enjoy their services? Can you trust them for a year? I tend to ask myself such questions before before taking the step.
