There are a lot of clients from the forums. The fact that you have such an opinion is based most likely on your experience. Many people on the contrary think that it is possible to find the best and most profitable proposal on the forums. It's like a market where everyone exhibits their services.

Not sure about it. But yes you can help the community by giving some genuine answers which will help you to build your overall brand. There are a lot of web hosting forums wherein you can participate and do some knowledge exchange among your business people.

Indeed, and also I believe that they can find a pretty good web hosting companies in Forum with some amazing deals. Today, Forum has become more reliable than Google itself because of the actual representative from particular hosting companies are engaged here and sharing their ideas for various queries. However, there is no straightforward answer for whether or not customers will search for hosting company in Forums. In case if they do, there is a good opportunity that they can have a discussion with the representative of any hosting companies around the world and go for it once they find some reliability and sense of trust with that.

I am sure this happened with me because I used to find hosting services on forums or blogs and like reading reviews from users who used those services to know if they were good hosting companies or not.

I have come across some great deals on a few web hosting related forums. I think many people know that in such forums there are often threads about VPS offer, shared hosting offers, dedicated servers, etc. and they check them to see if they'll find an attractive hosting service that suits their needs.

Absolutely. You can add some spam protected plugin (available with WHMCS) if you are afraid of spamming. Advertising on these forum is very much profitable.

Hello all,

Great question!

Advertising or posting your products in web hosting forums can definitely help gain leads. With regards to advertising on google that is another way to generate leads and customers. However google ads are very expensive we have seen a cost per click of $20 for the keyword: Web Hosting

Unfortunately there is a lot of click fraud going on with google ads so it essentially means competitors or other malicious people will click on your advertisements without the desire to purchase anything from you and this causes your daily budget that you can place to run out quickly if its low and then shuts down your ads.

So google advertising can give you good leads yes but I would advice a high budget per day in order to deal with the possible click fraud activity.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

In my opinion Serious Business People google and then get a list of packages which they need and which is having most of the features they like. Once they have a list to start with , then they will starting searching in most popular forums and search for any positive and negative reviews and make a decision by testing them as well and if possible will try contacting some one who may have left positive and negative reviews using private message as well.

For those who uses hosting as a fun / testing / personal blogs who do not look for money or business and those who is having no idea on hosting, they might go through the ads and from their next purchase or upgrade they will start looking using the above method mostly.

Yes. I would highly recommended forum
Most of the people used help from forum for the best web hosting.
People can review the discussion on the different web hosting of different people. So they can easily compare or find a good deal for web hosting.

With forum activity, you know there is a person running behind the ad. Instead of searching google and talking to computers. Forums have the human element.
