Hey Samuel!

There is so much to learn about making money online that it's hard to give 1 tip that basically covers everything..

With that being said I would say the #1 tip I would give to people trying to start any kind of eCommerce, Blog, Forum, etc. would be to make sure you have a group of people "fans" behind you before you launch..

Nobody wants to join a community where they are the only one. So it's important to have a large amount of users ready to join on day #1.

Most people just put their website up and try to get users to buy and signup on there website. Which is ok, but is definitely not optimal and causes most websites to go down.

SEO isn't something that happens overnight unless you have a very niche business that has like 0-1 competitors then maybe you can get it to rank within the first week.

So focus on building a community of people through email by using squeeze pages and transfer that email list and create a small private area for them to connect with each other.

Then once you have that going, go ahead and build a website and start your business that way.

The way I see it is there's basically 3 steps to creating a massive business online:

1) LAUNCH your product

2) Turn it from just one product/startup - To a business where people work for you

3) Know how to take that business and expand it globally.

That's the 3 major steps, so first start by figuring out how to LAUNCH a website then learn the other 2.

I wrote a long post about it on this forum so I hope you find it helpful:

http://www.webmastersun.com/threads/11354-My-Formula-to-LAUNCH-a-Website

Just click on the link and it should take you to my post on how to LAUNCH a website (step by step instructions) and that should really help you out :)

Anyways, hope this was helpful :)

Have a great day!

Adam

Thanks all of you for the kind responses. I am going through all the resources you suggested and now have some ideas about the topics. But still I am not so clear about all these matters and that's why I am planning to have ideas from a consultation agency about digital marketing. Thanks again.

You need to learn by doing for yourself first. Other wise you're doing a dis-service to your clients. Well, sure you know this.

Build your own sites, get them ranked and getting search engine traffic, then and only then can you provide services to others. What needs to be done before thinking about getting paid to do it for businesses. Cart before the horse :)

I agree there is no way to give a kick start "lesson" on SEO, advice from people who have done well will surely help you but doing it yourself, succeeding or failing is the best way.

Gather all the advice you can from others, sit down and think about all the ideas that were shared with you & then look at what you want to achieve. From that come up with your own plan and try it. The worse you can do is learn by trial and error but remember, if you fail to plan, your plan will fail.

I would say its all about brand. Focusing on creating a brand and getting that brand known about. But when it comes to Internet Marketing there is so much wealth of helpful information out there you can use for good ideas/tips etc from other people that have gone down the same road and started from scratch and are successful now. These are the ones that you need to look into and learn from.

But its all about creating a brand and building that brand up from a nothing to a household name that people rely on, trust in and depend on. That doesn't happen overnight in most cases and can take a lot of dedication from you on your behalf but can work out if you put the time in.

You've heard the saying "try, try and try again". That's how it is in the world of SEO. You have to just "try" things for nothing ever gets done unless you try. Also a good motto I like to go by is "Fortune favors the brave". So be brave and try new things for only then will you know.

Just look at the portfolio of successful sellers or SEO's in your area. Use twitter to target and follow big users and look at the kind of things they tweet about. Follow those people and engage with them. Actually interact with them, ask them questions, mention them in tweets etc. It can take a while but eventually you'll become recognized through this.

It's the same with Facebook, Google Plus and any other social networking site. Even with your site, you'll want to comment on sites in the same niche/category as yours. Build up real relationships with other blogs/webmasters. Ask for and submit high quality guest posts on their blogs. All the while building up awareness and reputation about your site.

But you need to offer something nobody else is offering or offer something in a way that nobody else has offered/provided it before. That's what will cut you out from the rest of the kazillion blogs on SEO that are out there in the ether today. :)
