Where do you find affiliate offers?

I don't often find any affiliate offers on sites but I am thinking about it. From your experience in affiliate marketing. Where have you found affiliate offers for better commissions?
Do you link to offers from the email directly or from a landing page that you are controlling.

What sort of offers are you looking for? CPA or CPL.

I used to Google or Bing a topic of which I had an interest and include the term affiliate program. Naturally if you're looking for a specific affiliate management company include that name in your search phrase.

Affiliate networks such as : Commission Junction, Shareasale, Linkshare etc.

I have most success with clickbank. clicksure, paydotcom and market health. Once have gotten my affiliate links, I will first of all do an in-depth research on the niche am targeting and find about 3 to 5 long-tail keywords relating to the product I want to promote. I will then setup a mini site with a very high quality content with my affiliate links. I got most of my sales through search engines.
