Solo ads vs. Forum marketing

I want to drive visitors to my squeeze page and when they signup they go through my followup sequence. I am thinking about 2 these methods, they are solo ads and forum marketing but not sure which works better, any experience on it?

For fast list growth I would go with solo ads but be prepared to risk losing money if you don't know exactly what you are doing or if your page is converting badly. Forum posting can be a slow method but doesn't have the risks that solo ads have.

Maybe it would be best to begin with free traffic methods and then once your page is converting and paying your monthly expenses (hosting/auto-responder fees) to then use the profit to invest in solo ads. If you have the money and can afford any loses when learning about driving traffic with solos and want to build a list fast then go for solos.

If you want to get instant clicks on offers like CPL or CPA, then solo ads can help you convert FAST.

Forum marking can help, but it takes time. For me, the others I have had in the past, It took me 1 month to get one subscriber.
