Hi guys,

Please bare with me as I don't think I've ever done this before so here goes. I paid someone to create a landing page for me, but the deal came with no hosting. I have an account with GetResponse that hosts landing pages. Am I able to provide hosting through them? I already asked an associate there, but he didn't know the answer. And If I can, does anyone know how I do that?

I'm honestly not sure that would work. I think GetResponse will only host pages you create with their page builder.

Hosting services are pretty cheap these days...

And if you have all the HTML files for your landing page, you can upload them directly to the server.

Plus, you really need your own hosting service if you're serious about online marketing.

I personally only use Hostgator, so I can only vouch for them. I've never had any problems with the service. Their plans start out around 8 bucks a month. You can sometimes even get it cheaper with a promotion code.

Having your own hosting is good since you can host multiple websites (domains) on one account. Just make sure you choose the "Baby" plan with host gator if you plan to do that.

Domains are super cheap as well. You can usually get them as cheap as a dollar for your first year.

If you're not sure how to go about setting everything up, I have some "How To" videos in the training section of my website.

Hope that helps.

You are better off getting your own domain name and hosting plan elsewhere. This way you will have better control and more features.

Regarding HostGator; A lot of people use them. A lot of people like them, but they are going down hill. Even if you don't get hosting with us, please think twice about using HostGator or any other host that is owned by EIG (Endurance International Group).

Arvixe is another host they was acquired by them not too long ago. Most of their customers have been happy. In the last month their have been a slew of complaints posted on various forms regarding the downward spiral in their services and support.

Take a look at reviewhell.com and WebHostingGeeks.com for some honest hosting reviews. Many if the other sites you will find are all affiliate links and fake reviews.
