How URL shortner will impact on website?

Hi friends,

I would like to ask a question that is related to URL Shortener.

There is a long URL with more words, then we can use URL shortner to make it compact, then we can use it in an article, post etc.,

How it will impact on our website back-link strength? Does it it decrease website ranking in search engine?

Any URL which redirects to another will only pass link juice if it is a 301 redirect.. A temporary redirect is 302 which does not pass link juice... In the case of URL shortners I do know that bit.ly is 301 redirect and therefore it passes link juice... One thing for sure using URL shortners will not decrease website rankings ...
