If I don't put Meta tags on my site?

Hey everyone,

I just want to know that what if we don't enter meta tags into our site. Than is it possible to ranking our site through all the tactics off off page search engine optimization techniques. I heard from the person one person that it is possible but what you think about this??

If you don't put all meta tags at your website header then it's not good to get ranking for your targeted keywords. You can put title tag but no description tage, that's ok and Google will give the best phrase in your website content to put on description ( this will show on search results)

But better is enough meta tags for on a web page. You will let Google know which you want to rank

Well it's possible to rank for Keywords even if you haven't entered the Meta tags into your site. Search engines crawlers visits your Website & index your Website contents and may rank you based on the contents of your Website.

Even if you do Offpage SEO, building links from other websites may help you rank higher in search engines. Those links must be from niche websites. Use diversity in anchor text link building & build it from authority websites or you may be penalized from Google Penguin update for Google search results.

Myth: It's all about meta tags and submissions

This is the most pervasive and harmful myth of all, one held by many Web designers and developers. All you need to do, many believe, is code your pages with the right meta tags â€” the KEYWORDS and DESCRIPTION tags, and things like the REVISIT-AFTER and CLASSIFICATION meta tags â€” and then submit your site to the search engines.

This notion is completely wrong, for various reasons. Most meta tags aren't particularly important, or aren't used by the search engines at all. Without keywords in the page content, the search engines won't index what you need them to index. And submitting to search engines doesn't mean they will index your pages.

Meta Tag doesn't play a vital role in SEO these days. The days are gone when we used them. But however it is still usable to just display the text snippets for your website in search engine result page.

Your website can rank without meta tags and while Meta Keywords Tag is not that important anymore, still Meta Description and Meta Title tags are important and can affect your website ranking. Thus, you will need to utilize them in a proper manner to improve your website ranking.
