1. Confirm your mobile number
Login to your account and confirm your mobile number, so it harden your security of the account

2. Activate secure browsing
This option is also good in facebook to secure your account

3. Create strong password
Dont use name and last name in your password. Generate random password from good password generator

4. Activate login approvals
You can check the option in facebook

5. Disconnect active sessions
Always disconnect active session when not it use, check this option

6. Activate private browsing
use private browsing in chrome or firefox

7. Never check keep me logged in
When you login never check this option "keep me logged in"

8. Avoid links by spam
Dont just click any spam links

9. Sign out after use
Logout after using your fb account and change your password after 10-15 days and save it on your notes in mobile.

Check security settings option in facebook.

1. Browse facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible..So when you access wifi or hotspot it will automatically add https..

I think now https is added automatically for secure browsing.

If you are using private computer and when you login to facebook account. Just below the username, you will see option "keep me logged in" if that box checked, unchecked it.

If you keep that option checked, your password is stored in the password field. So your username and password is stored in cookies. So always logout and clear the cookies. If by mistake if you have click that option.

Tip of the day - Whenever you login your email or social media account, sometimes browser also ask for saving your password. Never click on save your password.

As long as your friend have used personal email id. They can recover facebook account. Just click on can't login below to password. Enter email id and password reset link will be sent.

Also you can turn on security features on.. Login Approval and Verified mobile phone number.

If your friend account accessed by other person then you need to change their account password. If you do the same then this is good. But if your account got blocked by Facebook then this may not possible to reaccessed these account.

Are you talking about losing account credentials or having Facebook deactivate your account?

The best way to protect your Facebook account is to use a secure password that isn't used for anything else,

i.e. cd3&%f3'v(

Sure, but that won't protect it from being deactivated.
