To start a new forum, it's easy but to make it more popular, it's not easy. I think to have successful forum and make it popular that is probably one of the hardest thing on the internet and if you can make your forum popular you will have very good earnings.
can anyone please share any tips, How to make forum popular?

One of the problems with forums is having too overwhelming unorganized contents making me don't want to continue exploring on that forum. Running a forum is not an easy job, due to social media, forums are dying. At start you will need to get full time moderators who are willing to add good content and engage with users so users feel this forum is alive and worth contributing and for me that job is pretty tough as at start you will not get many visitors and it will need long time to establish your community.

Personally I think the days of running just a forum are over. You need some sort of CMS to get visitors to your forum and get them engaged in reading something that they want to comment about. And even then there is little to no chance of your forum becoming a big board. So if your wanting to run a forum do it because your passionate about the subject. If your doing it for money the forum has already failed and your wasting your time, money, and effort.

If you want more visitors and users you can promote your forum on other webs, but that depends on the topics and the threads, the content of your forum. I mean, there are forums about especific topics that are meant for certain type of user, you can promote your forum on webs with topics similar to yours to ensure you will gain visitors who enjoy the content and who would likely join. Forums aren't very popular now but I have visited some that are dedicated to certain fandoms and are active. They have many users because they talk about something they like and share opinions, theories and other things like that.

We're living in 2017, so having a successful social media account, will always help you with that, but if that's too hard for you then investing some money in certain websites could help you.
