Recently I found a 100 year domain registration plan by WordPress while searching about WordPress regarding my new release of video tutorials on WordPress. I was looking how WordPress related videos can bring viewers for hosting companies as WordPress has over billions of websites on it and I found this plan. Chances are your WP website might outlive you and I wonder how it's 100 year plan is going to affects small and medium hosting providers.

Although this plan costs $38000 i.e. $380 per yr., which may put it out of reach for many users but this 100 year plan shows how much big providers give value to retention of their clients.
Retaining old customers require adding value to your services from time to time while meeting their current needs and expectations. You need to build a brand to retain your customers for a longer period.

Very optimistic to assume that WordPress.com, or even the internet as we know it, will be around in 100 years.:)
