Hi, I'm looking to try Hetzner after OVH.
Which server is better AX102 vs EX101?

What method do you use to understand which processor is better?
In the cpu score I see AX102 is 62547 and EX101 is 48133, but on the web people say that the Intel i9 is better (and other that the Intel perf core are overrated and ryzen is much better).

My use case is streaming server.

Both Hetzner's AX102 and EX101 servers offer distinct advantages depending on your specific needs.

The AX102 server features an AMD Ryzen CPU, which tends to offer excellent performance for multi-threaded applications and tasks. If you require robust processing power for tasks like virtualization, gaming servers, or applications that benefit from multiple cores, the AX102 might be a better fit due to its higher core count.

On the other hand, the EX101 server utilizes an Intel Xeon CPU, known for reliability and performance in various applications. This server might be a better choice if your workload demands strong single-threaded performance, stability, or compatibility with specific software that performs optimally with Intel processors.

Consider the nature of your applications and workload. If your tasks benefit from multiple cores and parallel processing, the AX102 with its AMD Ryzen CPU might suit you better. However, if single-threaded performance or software compatibility is crucial, the EX101's Intel Xeon CPU could be the preferable option.

Higher CPU score (62547) with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, potentially better for CPU-intensive tasks like encoding and transcoding streams.

Overall, the AX102 is more powerful than the EX101 and offers better performance. However, it also comes with a higher price tag. If you have a higher budget, and your workload & storage demands require a lot of performance, the AX102 might be the better option. However if you are on a budget and do not require as much performance but need lots of storage, the EX101 may be a more cost-effective option.

In short, AX102 is a more robust option for streaming servers, offering higher performance and scalability compared to Ex101. It's suitable for larger-scale streaming applications with higher demands in terms of bandwidth and concurrent users. Ex101 may be sufficient for smaller-scale streaming needs or less demanding applications.
