Hello, if you want to buy web hosting the best thing to do first is to check that the Webhosting provider gives Customer Support round the clock (24/7 Support) and ensure a good uptime first after which you may proceed to check if they have unlimited bandwidth and good SSL Certification as this is very crucial if you will monetize your Website.

Most web hosting allows you to scale to a higher resource plan if you need CPU, and RAM or get more traffic. The difficult part is to get visitors, scaling up and down is relatively easy. You can start with VPS and scale up to a Dedicated server in the future.

Ensure the web hosting is transparent and they provide historical network uptime records, their response time to support tickets is quick and most important they allow the hosing of video content.

Hello, for such a volume of data, I advise you to consider a storage server. Hosting is simply not suitable for this format.

As for me, a good VPS (with enough capabilities) will be enough. And I agree with the opinion, that shared hosting even very strong - it's a bad idea.

I know this reply might come a bit late, but I just stumbled upon this post and wanted to share my two cents. So, I'm new on this forum, and I hope y'all don't mind me chiming in. First things first, congrats on planning to start a new website! That's super cool, dude. As for your question, hosting 50k+ videos sounds like a lot, so I understand your concern.

Recommend a dedicated server instead of VPS or shared environment. With that amount of visitors, don't look to spare money on something that might bring you more money if everything is stable.

Choosing the right hosting provider can be daunting, but selecting a provider that meets your specific needs is essential. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a hosting provider:

1: Reliability and uptime:
Look for a hosting provider that guarantees a high uptime percentage, ideally 99.9% or higher. This ensures that your website will be available to visitors at all times.

2: Speed and performance: A fast website is crucial for user experience and SEO. Look for a hosting provider with fast servers and optimized performance.

3: Scalability: Your hosting needs may change as your website grows. Choose a hosting provider that can accommodate your needs as your website expands.

4: Security: Website security is crucial for protecting your data and visitors. Look for a hosting provider with SSL certificates, firewalls, and other security features.

5: Support: Choose a hosting provider that offers reliable customer support. Look for a provider that offers 24/7 support via phone, chat, or email.

6: Price: Consider your budget when choosing a hosting provider. Look for a provider that offers competitive pricing and transparent pricing plans.

7: Reputation: Research the hosting provider's reputation by reading reviews and checking their track record. Look for a provider with a good reputation for reliability, security, and support.

Hope this will help you.

In the initial stages, you can start with a shared hosting plan for your new website, as it's cost-effective and suitable for low traffic. Host your videos separately on a reliable video hosting platform like YouTube or Vimeo. As your website traffic grows to around 1,000 visitors daily, consider upgrading to a VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting plan for better performance and stability. When your website reaches 5,000 to 10,000 daily visitors, you may need to switch to a dedicated server to handle the increased traffic and ensure smooth video streaming. Continuous monitoring of your website's performance is essential, and upgrading your hosting plan should be based on traffic and resource requirements.

Before buying web hosting, it's essential to consider your website's requirements, such as storage space, bandwidth, and technical support. Research reputable hosting providers that offer reliable uptime, good security features, and scalability options to accommodate future growth. Read reviews, compare pricing plans, and choose a hosting package that aligns with your budget and performance needs.
