Do you know about AMP WordPress Plugin?

Do we need to install AMP WordPress Plugin? is it necessary to install this plugin? I read that it help to improve loading speed on mobile website but I am having this iusse when it auto added to url of my Wordpress post like this
example.com/this-is-post-title/?amp=1

this make it duplicated with original posts. Should i remove this plugin?

If you have a solid responsive theme that works well on mobile, then you do not need AMP'd versions of your pages. AMP'd pages are boring and I hate them. They have made the internet a far worse place. Remember when the internet once had some diversity in web design?

If your website is so slow that it can't serve pages to mobile devices, seriously, you need to hire somebody. Google may penalize you for having very slow rendering pages but not for the absence of amped pages. I hope I am making sense this morning LOL.

I really intensely dislike AMP. It completely destroys your site design and functionality, ruins user experience, and it doesn't actually solve most speed problems. If your site is slow and bloated and needs AMP to work at decent speed on mobile devices, then you are much better off finding and solving the problems so that it loads fast for everyone.

Today I ran my website through google's page speed insights. I've been using the AMP for WP plugin, which I consider the best.

Today I realized my non-amped/regular pages got a perfect 100 score. However, my AMPed pages only got an 84! I'm sick about this because it must have been going on for years now.

So, if you happen to be my competition in any way, please AMP all of your pages. That is my best advice.

S4 I agree. A few years back I hand-coded a landing page, one AMPed and one not AMPed. Surprisingly, the AMPed page was actually bigger because of the required google javascript. However, when I did speed tests, the AMPed page loaded faster, especially the second time around since the javascript would then be cashed. I estimate that 90% of the time, this javascript file is already cashed, so AMPed pages should nearly always load faster.

The problem with a WP AMP module is I have no idea what they are doing. My best suggestion at this point is to perform speed tests before and after you install an AMP module. As for me, I will never touch AMP again -- it's mobile-first all of the way.

I know a little bit about WordPress plugin. I already installed a few of them onto my website like yoast. Working well so far. But this time, I want to focus on a reliable website builder not WordPress. Can you please help me. Basically, I want to try something new. Thanks!

I have same problem as you, I delete plugin and it solved, amp didn't have anything to improve for my site.
