What to do with a non-used dedicated server?

I have a dedicated server but I moved to a new one and this server I will not use it any more, its still available for 2 months more then expired. I would ask what to do with a non-used dedicated server to give us benefits or even can earn money from it?

Hey Chris,
I think in two months you cannot do much to earn money from a server. You can resell it to someone else though. It will help you cover the cost you paid or may be earn a profit. Can I ask where did you buy the server from?

Hi Chris,
Is this dedicated server on a yearly lease? If so, then you could choose to switch to a monthly payment period so you could get rid of it when you wanted to. However, If you're looking to get rid of it and let the lease expire, then it's probably better to just let it expire.

If you're looking to see if you can make a profit off of that server within these last two months prior to expiration, you could offer this as a dedicated server to customers, maybe as an initial promotional price to a customer?
Alternatively, if you're already selling shared or reseller hosting services, you could add that server to your existing setup to increase your hosting offerings.

You can use it as a test server for your applications and not afraid to remove or lose something on it.

You have two months left on your server, which is a relatively short length of time, but you may test a web-based application or resell it.

Resell is the way to go, but I also like the recommendation that you can have it on the side to test out any future projects that you may have coming up.

Dedicated servers have their own advantages and can be offered in different forms and packages. Dedicated server also provides more control, security and exclusiveness for a website. It is highly recommended to have a professional on hand in case you need guidance or service.
