Is WHM/cPanel license increasing price?

Hi everyone,
I remembered years ago, I only need about $20 per month to have cPanel license and install WHM/cPanel for my server but now, I need to pay $45 per month to have WHM/cPanel license for dedicated server.
These are licenses I bought from buycpanel, I have just a new dedicated server, they said that I need to pay $45/ mo. I think I should change to a new hosting control panel with lower price.

Do you think WHM/cPanel license is increasing price or its price is too high? Any thoughts?

$45 is also for just 100 accounts or less. They did this because Oakley Capital also own Plesk so they can monopolize the web based control panel industry in the hosting market and charge what they want. We just absorb the increase cost to our clients or recommend DirectAdmin for a fraction of the price. Basically it depends on what you are using a control panel for. If DirectAdmin can do the same tasks go with that but it is arguably less user friendly to some.

DirectAdmin is an ideal alternative to cPanel with too little difference.

You can use Icon Grid theme/template which is user friendly same as cPanel.

Unfortunately this is very sad for hosting industry. Cpanel has monopoly in the industry and they are squeezing out whatever they can. Its not that they are raising the prices its like they are keeping us as hostages.

Yes I agree cpanel is best control panel ever but due to price increase many provider has shift to alternative directadmin, plesk and interworx control that will be similar

cPanel has been acquired by Oakley Capital, an investment group also in charge of Plesk. So "switching" here and there doesn't make as much sense as the prices will be kept in one plane.

DirectAdmin can do pretty much everything cPanel can. I completely disagree with cPanel's pricing policy and am not recommending it to anyone anymore. Yes, they're the most popular panel, but that doesn't mean they should be greedy and change their pricing like this. I can only imagine how frustrated all their existing customers were when they were told that they'll have to pay more.

Cpanel is digging his grace and I will be happy to contribute to the death of this monster. God Made them stupid so other developers can make money by creating new softwares. So thanks God people are leaving

I am using cpanel license pro, and its price increased recent days and my hosting provider forced me to pay extra for price increases, is that legal and I need to pay this extra or my hosting provider must pay this? Does anyone give me an answer?
