Linode or DigitalOcean which is best?

For PHP based Applications which is best Linode or DigitalOcean. Keep in mind about Apache, Nginx, PHP-fpm and other PHP services.

There is no difference between them to run a LAMP/LEMP stack, you can choose between linode, digitalocean, vultr or OVH. Each of them provide some additional features, or a better price, but both of them will run your php applications without any problem.

Of the two I'd go with Linode, their servers tend to be faster than DO.
Neither of them is actually "cloud", though.

The both are good, but none of them is "best". It is important what kind of advanced failover protection services does any web host offer. Other than that many do standard virtualized instances on the cloud.

3. Quality technicain
4. Security provided by the web hosting provider
5. Total cost of hosting service

If all these satisfactory then you can sing-up to it. Because technical support is the key of hosting service.
