I always want to invest my money on certain areas but i dont know which area would benefit me most. I heard that yes, you can earn a lot in affiliating market but chances are odd unlike in reselling. So which is actually better?

It depends:

- Reseller: You buy the package and put your customers on it. No matter if 1 or 100 customers, you have to pay the reseller package. In return, you can set retail prices. Support has to be provided by you.
- Affiliate: You transfer your customers to the hosting company and collect on average between 10-30% commission. No expenses, no settlements, no costs, no support from you needed

In my opinion, affiliate is better, because you have no obligations and the merit is very good by the way

I am an affiliate for couple of web hosts, however, I have not been able to refer a single buyer for these web hosts. It is true that when you are an affiliate, you do not lose any money because you have made no investment. However, just simply putting the affiliate banner on your website does not work. You need to promote the web hosts.

I am inclined to agree with MS-Cloud's opinion. It is true that with affiliate marketing, you don't to spend cash to sell anything. Personally, I have earned a bit from Lazada affiliate marketing. However, some affiliate marketing sites require some technical knowledge, some are even complicated. If you have no problem with this then go for it.

However, I know some friends who do reselling. I have observed that they don't buy the products the are reselling until they have a buyer. This way the capital needed is not that high. But, I'm not sure how much is their profit margin. Plus, you may spend for the freight. On the other hand, I see a number of these resellers, selling their wares using their Facebook alone and it seems they are earning from this scheme.

Question is, why choose one if you can do both? As mentioned by MS-Cloud, you don't need capital in affiliate marketing.

I hope this helps.

This is kinda a self answer questions i will explain why.
It all depends on how you want to manage your replationship to the clients you bring in.

1- Do you want to be there main port of call and thus keeping them with you even if you change your provider for what ever reason you have and leave the configuration of the server to your provider.

2- Do you want to offload your customer once you have done the hard work on converstion them to go via yourself to a company that they have to deal with on a daily basis (Which if services is very bad this can cause issues between you and your client you referred to them.

FYI
1 is Reseller
2 is Affliate

I guess profit is more rewarding in reselling compared to just being an affiliate.
Being an affiliate will just limit your work, unlike in reselling that your only battle neck is your eagerness to sell more or to get tired.

I will do both of it if I can just to earn a good amount of money. But I will suggest to you to chose affiliate because now a days it is easy to do online jobs. Also in affiliate you don't need to worry because you don't need to invest any amount of money all you need to do is WORK-WITHDRAW-WORK-WITHDRAW. But be careful for those online jobs because some of them are fake. For example they will price you in a good amount of money but after working for them they will not pay you, they don't keep their words.

Yes I agree with you Dictator 20 that being an affiliate is much better since you will not be investing any money but just the time and and effort. I really experience such kind of incident where I was not paid for hard work on a certain site that I do not really know was a scam. I just realize at the end of day that it was a scam when they did not compensate me for my time and effort. It is really easy now a days to make money online but just be smart and wise in choosing the right track in order to avoid scam for the affiliate jobs.

I believe being a reseller has its benefits.

In a way, it's easier because you can estimate your potential income. You still have to work hard and build your selling with loyal costumers, but once you start you can keep it up and earn real income.

Affiliates do their business online. Unlike resellers which must have a physical office of their own, they answer phone calls from customers and they take care of invoicing, receipts and they also pay office bills. The reseller has a different target and this is offline local market which requires physical acivities. Actually, if you think about it, a buyer that wants to purchase online, he can anyway skip the reseller by buying directly from your site.
It's more costly to have resellers because of the expenses you need to have contracts, make agreements, etc. until the item gets to the consumer.

If you have your own time, maybe you can do both.

Being an affiliate, you will not have to invest on a capital, you just have to link a certain products of your web host that you think will be easily sold but you must be diligent enough to promote the link three times a day so that you will get the social media users attention. You also must have as many social media sites as possible wherein you can post the link in order to have more chances of getting commissions.

Being a reseller, you must have a capital and you must really be focused in promoting your items and do all the stuff from beginning to end. You must learn how to advertise your products be it online or through a physical store.

It is really up to you because at the end of the day, you are the only one who knows what's you are capable to do.

It would really vary unto what you fond doing. Like reselling needs capital, meanwhile affiliate marketing needs motivation, dedication and patience, depending on what is basically a good fit for you. But always be sure to reassure on what way your passion chooses.

if you have the capital and your good at sales talk. Then reseller is good for you. At the same time, you can do affiliate because it doesn't need any capital. You just need to post your link and wait if there will be a buyer.

Hi, kyanperl! In terms of profitability, I will advise you to do reselling or drop shipping. Aside from you do not particularly need to have a personal online store to do this, you can also start even without a product to sell. An added advantage of reselling is that you can profit much more and more compared to being an affiliate. Being an affiliate, you can receive commissions when the product your promoting have buyers but you need to be online for this to be possible.

This will depend if you have capital or not. If you have capital, best way to earn is through reselling. Reselling have the short period of time in terms of money back guarantee rather than affiliates who waits for the the item to be purchased and get a commission. It terms of work and effort, resellers need to double their time and focus to create a point of sale. While affiliates create a link, post or blog and wait the market to buy in. The two methods are like fisher man, one is using the net and the other one have fishing line waiting for the fish to bite the hook.

AFFILIATE IS BETTER
To be an affiliate is better than to be a reseller because it gives you flexibility and control your activities. You can an affiliate with no capital at all and you can earn through that passively. You will have full control of your time. To be a reseller you have to exert a lot of time and efforts for it to succeed. You must have a capital to start from and aside from you have to manage the risks of your target audience.

But at the end of the day, the decision is still yours

I think this would really depends on your interest, if you like reselling then why not just try it. But then if you also have a passion on affiliate marketing then it could also be nice to do. You should just use them wisely and efficiently. Sometimes the right techniques and decision making is a key to success.

If you dont want to create your own website but just advertise then i'd choose affiliate, with your own reseller hosting though you'd get 100% of your sales whereas with an affiliate you'd get a percentage.

Hello. I think you can start as an affiliate first. In that way you can get the "feel" of how it is to do online business. It requires no start up capital and you can do it at your own time. On the other hand, in reselling, it might entail certain amount of capital to start up since there might be items that you need to pay in advance from your suppliers. But on the issue of profit, reselling might be more rewarding compare to affiliating which gives you only commissions. Whichever you choose, just do good in it. Goodluck!
