I think you made the right thought already. A website hosting company can be on small scaler or big scale. So what to I mean? Well I started into this business 20 years ago, back in 1997 when the internet just started. I never concentrated on this type of business and hosted maybe 100 websites over the time. All of them have been running on a single Web server was a small harddisk and quite limited RAM. The internet connection was the only thing I updated from time to time. Now in case I would see this the buyer would ask me about all the exisitng customer details and contracts. Are they made yearly, bi-yearly or even longer. Does it include DOMAIN service, self administration or EMAIL services? Well consider all of it can be done to success, but look at the big vendors and their charges. They are not actual expensive and will be in direct competition with you. What is the value of this 100 websites? Well it generates income of approx 10 kUSD per year, when people sell it they would use a muliplier per of year. I would assume min.3 and max.10. So you can make it up how much it would be and if it is worth it or find new clients.
