I am looking for a list of dedicated server providers under $20 for testing purposes, I would like to install hosting control panels or special scripts that needing to run on a dedicated server. Do you know or suggesting me some names?

Well there are providers like kimsufi or wholesale internet, however those servers are really low end, for under $20 my suggestion would be to go with a VPS which offers you root access, basically a self-managed or managed VPS with root access. That way u get a slice of server which has decent new, powerful and more reliable hardware, at a fraction of the cost. Keep in mind that old hardware is bound to failure.

Yes, try also online.net
I think there isn't a true offer for test control panel also a vps is enough!

If $20 is your budget, then you won't get dedicated server. As dedicated server cost more but they are more reliable and preferable.

A better way to stay on the safer side of the fence is through Hosting on Dedicated Servers.
I will suggest you to increase your budget and get dedicated server or you try VPS in $20.
No no. You can get a dedicated server for under $20, but its gonna be rubbish. For $5 you can get a more powerful VPS than a dedicated server priced at $20.

would not use cheap old servers to run your clients data you get what you pay for and just asking for problems or outages recommend new tech from 2018 or later keep your clients happy also see if these providers offer server colocation for the price of $10 to $20 per month

The OP said he wanted it for testing purposes, not for hosting clients sites.

@Maxoq The thread you have opened depreciates web hosting both as service and as industry at all. please do not take it personal, but such threads is nothing else but a result of reckless thinking. Certain things have certain price tags and any unrealistic expectations would result in frustrations. $20 does not pay for anything when it comes to dedicated physical server. Even the electricity costs for powering one could be higher than $20 on monthly basis.

Hello @HostColor,
I agree with you for web hosting services, it's a bad idea to save few dollars when you care about your websites availability, especially with dedicated servers (should be required only when you provide hosting services, or host high-traffic site).

But dedicated servers are not used only for web hosting and everyone do not need the latest XEON CPU with NVMe disks.
For example, kimsufi servers are not intended for web hosting at all (slow HDD, 100Mbps network, old Atom, i3, i5 CPU), but are a good solution for people who need a dedicated server for testing or for a personal usage, without having to pay 100$/mo.
My first dedicated server was a kimsufi, and it was helpful for my for my classes.
