Comparing the loading speeds with different hosts - any suggestions?

Hi, any suggestions on how to measure the loading speeds with different hosts as accurately as possible? Since there are no speed comparisons on the hosts I'm interested in, I'm planning to do it myself, by how should I do that in your opinion? I'm thinking of uploading the same exact sites to each host and then measuring the loading speeds with Pingdom and Dotcom Tools. Would that be a good way to do this? :crazy:

Why kind of hosting are you using? shared, VPS, or dedicated server?

This is okay, but you need to take note of routing issues ( such as a server from EU will load slower in the US and vice versa )
