It is possible that some service of your server will be hung, such as the MySQL service, the Apache server or the e-mail service. This can happen for a multitude of reasons and, possibly, the first reaction you have to notice that something is not right is to restart the entire server.
However, if the panel you have installed is cPanel, before restarting the server, you can access the WHM and restart them individually from there. Restarting services individually also avoids the annoyances of a complete restart, since it is possible that the mail fails but the webs are seen correctly. Restarting the server completely will stop all services until the restart is completed, but if you restart only the affected service, the rest will continue to run smoothly.
To restart services individually, access the cPanel WHM.
On the main screen click on the "Restart services" link.
In the following screen you can see the services that you can restart from the WHM.
To restart one of them, click on it and confirm the restart on the next screen.
In this simple way you can individually restart the services of your server.
