Those work best when accompanied by a control panel such as WHM/cPanel. If you are not using a control panel, you should try Webuzo, which is from the Softaculous company. It provides a basic LAMP stack and the 1-click software installs, but adds additional website administration features, which will be nice for managing the scripts you are installing.

Unless you use a WHM/Cpanel or other compatible control panels I dont see why you should waste part of your badget on the license for either softaculous or fantastico.

If you are struggeling to install wordpress or other CMS on your VPS just let the community know and we will help you.

I agree with Luxin, it wastes money for license and server resource to install these apps.
Are there any advantages in using these? or its just for fast installing scripts?

Hi Maxoq

I would recommend Softaculous it's simple to install onto your VPS and provides a link to the installer from any domains control panel on your VPS.
Installation guide: https://www.softaculous.com/docs/Main_Page#Installation_and_Usage
These are the system requirements: https://www.softaculous.com/docs/System_Requirements
Look also at http://installatron.com/, they do the same but there is a free level for WordPress.
Or go with Plesk, no need to use installatron or softaculous, it include 100+ Apps.
Will those apps consume a bit more server resource?

Installatron offer a remote installation service, so it doesn't consume any resources.
Another way to do could be to use docker. Not so hard to learn and some apps are only available as docker containers.

Look also at bitnami.com, they have a lot of apps you can install on any platform (windows, linux, mac, VMware, VirtualBox, Docker)

It is easy to install

login to your server using SSH and run the following commands to install softaculous

wget -N http://files.softaculous.com/install.sh

chmod 755 install.sh

./install.sh

Then login to your WHM and you can now see the plugin installed. You can then add scripts/applications that you require. you may need to purchase a license to install wordpress
