Hello,
Thanks @StartVM for all given Insights.
I visited your site but I don't see SSL there.
Where and how to setup SSL such as the image above?
Please visit
Client Area.
It is Comodo Extended SSL.
ALL requirements for EV Certificates MUST be verified directly with the government registration authority, or a Qualified Independent Information Source, or via a legal opinion or accountant letter as applicable. The basic verification requirements are:
A. Verify Legal Existence and Identity
This entails verifying the organization registration directly with the incorporating or registration agency.
B. Verify Trade/Assumed Name as applicable.
Only applicable if company does business under a name which is different from the official name of their corporation. Trade name must be registered and verifiable.
C. Verify Operational Existence
This means that we must verify that the company is able to conduct business operations. Typically this means that the company has a current active demand deposit account with a regulated financial institution.
D. Verify Physical address and organization phone number
E. Verify Domain ownership
F. Verify the name, title, authority and signature of the person(s) involved in requesting the certificate and agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Upon visiting your main website, the only thing I noticed is there wasn't an auto redirect to SSL. While not essential unless in the client area, I think Google is rewarding sites that use full SSL with better search engine rankings.
You are correct.
As far as I am aware, there is not free EV SSL, and in fact they usually run quite expensive. I think the cheapest I have seen them is around $100 USD. Cloudflare and Letsencrypt will provide a standard ssl certificate without warranty or assurance. Upon purchasing a cert, the certificate authority will provide you details on how to verify your entity with them.
Yes. Free letsencrypt, I & Comodo do perform domain ownership check only and good starting point. But having Extended SSL is proof that, certificate authority verified your legal existence.
It is costly and time consuming process for certificate authority as well, Extended SSL won't be coming cost free any time soon.
If you match the requirements, You can set up Extended SSL as low as $34.99 per year with us.
Please refer comodo
checklist.
checklists might be little different as per certificate authority.
Note :
You have to turn off Privacy protection for your domain; If you are using one.
This Certificate Issue process May consume time; please keep all requirements ready if you wish to save time.
